Book is great if you're
1) installing a new headliner 2) repairing a convertible top 3) installing a new vinyl hardtop 4) replacing apolstery 5) replacing carpet anything else (dash, console, steering wheel and column, weatherstripping for instance) is either not or barely covered and the topics that ARE covered feature really poor b & w photo's that are generally taken from such a distance - that you can't see anything in them anyway. Book is basically an abridged version of selected sections of the 1964 1/2-1973 resotration guide - buy that one instead - about the same price and WAY more comprehensive

Mustang : Interior Restoration Guide 1964 1/2-1970,

Clearly illustrated. Step by step quide with plenty of ways to make the restoration better than a professional shop's job. Overall - excellent.

Too simplistic.,

From this book I was expecting some helpful tips that might not seem too obvious to the beginner, you know, "there is a hidden screw that needs to be removed first".
Instead the book says stuff like: There are 2 steps to replacing your carpet; 1) remove the old carpet 2) install the new carpet. (And I am not exaggerating much.) And the pics weren't that great either. I don't recommend.

... just the cover has colors. All 80 pages are B&W, so don't expect a full color guide.

Vague and Grainy,
By Admiral Schmickover (Zion, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mustang Interior Restoration (Paperback)
This book contains ample photos and how-to's, but it needs an update. The photos are grainy and difficult to see. Also, it does not include interior options for the mustang. I would like to know what I am restoring my interior to look like. There are no color photos, no list of Mustang interior options (i.e. what's included in a 1967 deluxe interior vs the standard interior or pony interior).
A novice restorer such as myself would be better served by a generic interior restoration book with color photos, although this book does include some helpful hints on removing dash components.

Had I picked this off a shelf, I would have put it back and kept looking.
