got this mount as part of promotion with 46 inch LCD. LCD weights over 80 pounds which is not that bad. Hanging the wall plate was relatively easy , but second person would be helpful if you are not handy. If you are putting this mount on the wall by yourself , I wouldn't be relying on the level attached to a mount, but rather level and drill the holes for the screws. Of course, be sure to find the studs first and make sure you can align the holes on the mount with the marks on the wall.
Averall the constraction of the mount is very solid. The tubes are detachable, so it makes a lot easier to screw the mount to the wall as there is no obstraction and less weight. I found only 3 cons with this product: 1.the TV screws and spacers provided are too generic and in my case added 0.5 inch to the distance from the wall. 2. Mount screws are too thin I think and not compatible with washers. The screw just doesn't go all the way because the hole in the washer is too small. 3. To adjust tilt for a large TV you need 2 people period. I tried to tighten one side first and then another and end up jamming my hand with tv to avoid it hitting the wall.
After all Mustang it's a good, solid mount , and what you really need to do is to decide between Static ot Tilt mounts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy new bolts and screws first!, December 10, 2006

This review is from: Mustang MV-TILT3 Tilt Wall Mount Adjustable for TV's up to 50-inches (Electronics)
Once I opened the box, I saw how it worked and threw the instructions. It didn't take long to hang, but all except one of the lag bolts broke, even after pre-drilling! So I tried the drywall anchors, and they wouldn't expand as they should.

I ended up buying new lag bolts and drywall anchors. After this, everything went flawlessly.

I was only able to hit two studs and they were pretty well centered on the mount, so each lag bolt was probably 8 or 10 inches from the edge of the mount. With 4 lag bolts in this mount, even my 50" plasma wasn't going anywhere. However, the plasmas mounts put all the stress on the very outside edge of the wall part of the mount, causing it to bend out from the wall, up to the point where the lag bolts were. I then put drywall anchors on the extreme edge holes on the wall mount. That took care of that problem. If this thing ever falls, my wall is coming with it.

Like I said, great mount, crappy bolts and screws.

The main reason I went with this wall mount was it is adjustable and was being [...] with the purchase of a qualifying HDTV.

The MV-TILT3 wall mount comes with a complete mounting kit (different bolt sizes, spacers, etc) which worked just fine with my Samsung LNS4692D. I simply securely installed the mount to studs in the wall, attached the mounting brackets to the back of the TV and then with my wife's help lifted the TV onto the mount. I then flipped the security locks into place and locked them with a small padlock. After a couple minor angle adjustments I was done. Looks great!

Another nice feature with this mount is that you can fairly easily slide the TV (carefully!) left or right about 2 inches. This works out nicely for me since my TV has in/out jacks on the side and is mounted next to a wall protusion which normally makes it difficult access. By sliding the unit to the right a couple inches I can easily access the side jacks and then slide the TV back up against the wall protusion. And this can be done without having to unlock the security locks. Slick!

Note that this mount only allows you to adjust the mounting angle up and down (vertically) not left and right (horizontally). I'm not sure if other mounts make adjustment easier, but the adjustment process with this mount is a 2 person job, especially with a heavier TV. However, once mounted at the proper height and angle you really don't need to make adjustments anyway.

Finally, in general, adjustable mounts tend to stick out from the wall a little more than non-adjustable ones. This was actually desireable in my case, but you may want to consider this when deciding which kind to buy.
