4.0 out of 5 stars well written with excellent photographs, November 9, 1998

This review is from: Mustangs of the RAAF and RNZAF (Hardcover)
Peter Anderson's book describes in detail the production of the Mustang, the Australian-built CA-17 and CA-18 at Commonwealth Aircraft Corp. and their involvement with the RAAF Reserve Squadrons across Australia and New Zealand. The photos of the first Australian-built Mustang are excellent, and desrcibes the use of the beautiful prop-driven machine with 77 Sqn. RAAF in Korea in 1950, until superseded by the Gloster Meteor which was still outclassed by the Russian-built MiG-15s. Peter's book is well worth the read - if a copy can be found!!
