Product Description

Mustapha's whole mace is imported to Morocco from Indonesia where it first grew in the wild - mace from Indonesia is said to be more flavorful than that grown elsewhere. Mace is the outer, lace-like covering of the nutmeg. It has a sweet and fragrant aroma, similar to nutmeg but stronger. Its flavor is warm and aromatic, more intense and slightly sweeter than nutmeg. In Morocco, it is used in both sweet and savory dishes.

I have been searching for whole Mace, which is used in a lot of Indian and Pakistani dishes, for months. None of the grocery stores and few of the specialty Asian grocery stores carry it. The few specialty stores that do carry it have not been able to get it for quite some time, so when I ordered it, I expected it to take weeks for delivery. Not only was the price excellent, it was delivered within about 10 days. Mustapha's came through is great fashion, and I'm delighted.Mustapha's Mace - Whole Blade

So glad I could count on Amazon to find a place where I could get an ingredient I'd never find locally...or perhaps anywhere within a 60 mile radius. Pricey, but worth it!!!
