This digital photo frame was purchased after reading a review from Consumer Report. The frame allows you to scan old images and store them on a memory card or to the frame. Some older images are hard to feed thru the scanner and you are limited to 4 x 6 prints. If you intend to leave the frame on for extended periods of time you will be disappointed in the quality of your pictures the longer the frame is left on. If you leave it on long enough for a short visit from family and friends to look at you will be pleased at their reactions to seeing old photos that may have not been seen for years!

Purchased this item as a present for my elderly mother who has lots of old photos. As I live out of town she did not open until I visited. When I opened the item it did not work, so I immediately called and returned it to the box. Unfortunately, by the time I got to visit her the 90 day warranty's had expired. My fault! I called both Ritz the seller and Mustek the manufacturer and tried to explained the situation. All I wanted was a product that worked. Neither one was interested in standing behind their product. Makes one wonder the defect rate on this item and lack of integrity of Ritz and Mustek. In this situation Amazon Customer Service was extremely helpful and did everything they could to try and rectify the situation.

I purchased a Mustek photo scanner and thought it was wonderful. After scanning approx. 150 pictures a line developed. No matter what I tried (i.e. cleaning, calibrating) I could not get rid of the line. As I did not want all my old pictures to have a line in them I quite scanning. I paid almost $200.00 for this item and it was not worth it. When calling the support techs, he was rude and hard to understand as he was talking from Taiwann. He continually told me that my warranty was up and there was nothing they could do for me. He could not even offer me any suggestions as to what to try to fix problem or where to take it for repairs. They certainly did not stand behind their product and I would not purchase anything else from that company.
