Not compatible with newer iPods,

I just bought one and proceeded to try to use my iPod Classic (6th gen). It did not work at all. I happened to have a 5th gen video which does work. I am pretty displeased with this, since the iPod compatibility was never discussed in any literature related to this item. The descriptions just say "iPod" and all iPods are not created equal. I suspect it does NOT work with iTouch, as it is a 2007 technology item.
I am going to return this and get a small portable TV which is cheaper and will have better sound and compatibility with iPod (once you get the cables that go from the headphone jack to video input on the TV). Regarding the sound, if you were going to use this to watch videos from your iPod, you would want decent sound. The sound which comes out of this frame is not very good. Also, the frame is small! 7 inches on diagonal is too small to do much good. |
