Mustek PL510 10-Inch Portable DVD Player

In the five months since we purchased this DVD player it has been on one month-long overseas vacation, several long car trips and has had one 3' fall off a hotel bed. Our preschoolers provide it with general abuse on a regular basis. So far we have not had a single problem, not even after the fall off the bed.

Our main reason for purchasing this player was to watch DVD movies, and for that purpose it is excellent. The DVDs do not skip. The picture and sound qualities are great, and there is also great sound when using headphones.

While overseas we tried to view digital photographs off a DVD, and the results were very poor. This is definitely NOT the player for that.

However, for our intended purpose, we can highly recommend this player. We would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Picture is great, sound is lousy unless hooked up to H-phones or other sound equipment...The Lid/DVD door was (at first) slightly warped but as time went by it seems to have flattened out.... it had no effect on the unit's playing ability so I didn't return it..I thought the unit could have been less expensive........

Am happy with everything about this player except that for the money spent, I would have expected better support for DVD+R DVD-R media. Granted, that feature isn't listed in the technical description, so the mistake is mine.

I've had this product a little under a year.The dvd is working properly, but the tv has stop working, What could be the problem.Product#PL510T.

Sharp image on this large LCD! This 10.2" LCD is definitely worth the extra money. My friends who have 7" said it was too small. This one is just like a small LCD TV and it keeps my son amused in the car. I also love the sound - is very pure and clear. I recommend it.

Bought this DVD for my husband for father's day and it has turned out to be a mixed blessing. He loves it and watches DVDs till all hours. The unit works perfectly, the screen excellent for his over 75 eyes, and we are well satisfied!
