Product works ok. But bad design of battery attachment. Batter is heavy and shape is awkward. Further photo display does not look good. Most important thing is Tigerdirect is selling this product through amazon.com. Tigerdirect.com is intentionally selling this product for cheap to attract the customers. I guess this product version is no longer available from manufacturer website. I think this product was manufactured especially for tigerdirect. Thats why, if I want to return this product, they are not accepting. Be careful with tigerdirect return policy. Amazon return policy will be overidden by tigerdirect policy. Why should amazon encourage such merchants?

This player does not play a dvd straight through. Every time it gets to the half way mark the picture starts to break apart and the audio does the same. I'm really disappointed with this player. Wish I had bought one locally instead of on line.

I've used this player for about 2 weeks now. It works fine so far and appears to be a decent value for the money.

My one gripe is the lack of DVD player controls. You basically have a "start" and a "stop" button and that's it. If you want to call up the menu or fast forward, you have to use the remote control. That's fine if you have the remote control with you; but it's not very convenient if you want to watch a movie while sweating on a cross-trainer and you don't want to mess with a remote.

I tend to agree with the earlier poster who cautioned against buying a DVD player on Amazon (or by internet in general). You definitely can save a few dollars - but I think I'd have been happier if I could have seen and touched the DVD player first. Not to mention that it's easier to return a product to a brick-and-mortar place...

Cons

1)Controls on player are not adequate you have to rely on remote control.

2)ON/OFF switch is too delicate.

3)Player doesn't look solid enough.

4)I hardly got 1 hr 50 min of play time on battery charge.

Mustek is well known for small portable electronics. Recently I purchased this DVD player (2 of them) for my kids and they really enjoy them while on a long distance drive or at home watching movies , home videos etc., Also some times we let it play our family pictures and we love watching the picture slide shows.

I highly recommend this player

Pretty much what I expected although the battery was a plus I didn't remember reading about. I use this unit sparingly but it has performed flawlessly.

Maybe a little less volume than I would have liked but I have old ears. The only thing I would have added would be some kind of padded case.

Certainly worth the money.

I am very satisfied with the quality of the recent purchaced dvd player. It was a gift for my son, and he has really enjoyed the use of this dvd player, as well as using it to play cd's.
