5.0 out of 5 stars The Mutant "leader" had a name, it was Mendez, July 10, 2009
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mutant Leader Action Figure from Beneath the Planet of the Apes (Toy)
Paul Richards played the part of Mendez and had the face of a bishop, an eerie and misguided one and this is the likeness. The "man" behind the mask is the de-epilayered dermis mutant who, though at the time of watching was a shocking sight, it wasn't frighting and John Chambers had decided not to be too radical and foucs on the sci-fi plot and not scare his audiences. Now if Matt Irving would put his modeling to good use and make some Ole school 1960's/70's Doctor Who mem for us it would be of equal quality! Another Mat(other than myself and mister Irving), Is Mat Falls, he made these figures and they are not "toys" but figures for your grown up lifestyle home(and not to be put in one of those dumb "curio cabinets)..
