5.0 out of 5 stars Kathy Rigby's favorite album!, June 25, 1999
This release from 1995 places high on my "Most Underrated Albums of the 90's" list. Mixed by Sylvia Massy (who co-produced Tool's "Undertow" album), this record is "sonic assault" defined. Heavy riffs and melodic screaming have rarely sounded better. Play this one through from the beginning and take your whuppin' like a man.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is one of the top ten albums of all time, in my opinion, February 9, 1999

an all-around great album, from the screaming guitars on "cannibal holocaust" to the pounding bass on "kfd" and the mellow ballad-esque "whorehouse of screams." this album is the "abbey road" of punk rock. true genius like this comes very rarely.

5.0 out of 5 stars A truly great, yet overlooked Texas band..., September 24, 2002
Brutal Juice was at one time one of the coolest "buzz bands" out there, and boy, were they ever "out there." With singer/songwriter/guitarist Gordon Gibson's twisted tales of a Whorehouse of Screams and girls that aren't so "pretty on the inside," this band rocks in a way that few of the current crop of Nu metallers or retro garage rockers could. They rock hard, with a musical attack similar to the Butthole Surfers old days and Slayer, but with an ace knack for unique pop hooks. At the forefront of all this madness is lead singer Craig Welch, a crazy so and so who used to light himself on fire during their legendary live performances. His unique style of scream/singing makes it sound as though there are several different singers in the band. Interscope signed this band around the same time as they signed the Toadies, who are from the same scene, and sadly, this group didn't even get a single boost from their label, as the Toadies would experience a few years later. But, what more can I say...great album, wonderful album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Momma sez . . ., June 28, 2002

Well-crafted riffs, charismatic vocals, breathtaking production, and packed with more manic energy than a herd of ritalin-crazed buffalo galloping madly across the Texas sage. The sheer animosity of 'Kentucky F*ck Daddy' will send chills down your spine, violate your psyche and leave you reeling. My personal favorite is 'Kathy Rigby', a white-trash paean celebrating marital bliss, which unfortunately will never be dedicated to one's sweetheart on FM radio due to its crass redneck raunchiness. Rarely has listening to a record produced a more enjoyable experience -- this is one one of the most incredible records you will ever have the privilege of listening to. GET THIS ALBUM.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Buy It, August 7, 2002

One of the best albums I've ever heard. Noise-art-punk-metal at its absolute best. Complex song structures, fantastic production, "inspired" lyrics, and thick guitar noise make this a great album from one of Texas' finest. If you don't like this album, there is something very wrong with you...or maybe there's just something very wrong with the rest of us...whatever...
