5.0 out of 5 stars all hands on deck, June 6, 2007
This review is from: Mutiny on the Mamaship (Audio CD)
This is Jerome Brailey at in his element. The grooves are airtight. Silly sing-a-longs, fractured nursery rhymes, stunning bass. This is the bomb-no filler. Funk at ground zero. Mutant Disco in it's finest hour.

5.0 out of 5 stars Un-Cut FUNK at it's Best !, July 19, 2001

It does not get any better than this! Jerome Brailey and his crew are in top notch form. The songs are tight, hard, and above all - FUNKY! The grooves are non-stop, and each cut is unique, not falling into some ' one bass line fits all ' type vibe. Even the slow jam is ' off the hook ' ! And you'd be hard pressed to find a cut funkier than ' Lump ' ! The music sounds just as fresh today as it did when first released. This is a classic ! A must have for any serious music library.

5.0 out of 5 stars SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!!!, August 12, 2011
I HAVE HAD THE ORIGINAL VINYL OF BOTH "MUTINY ON THE MAMASHIP" AND "FUNK PLUS THE ONE" SINCE
THEIR RELEASE. STILL HAVE THEM...BUT OF ALL OF THEM ...I AM SAD TO SAY NO ONE I'VE SPOKEN
TO HAS REALIZED THE OBVIOUS FUNK...AS THE BEST OF MUTINY AND THAT IS OF COURSE "ROMEO"...NUFF SAID...
"THE OTHER JB - JEROME BAILEY" AND HIS BOYS PUT IT DOWN, PLAIN AND SIMPLE..PEACE!!!!...FUNK OUT...

This review is from: Mutiny on the Mamaship (Audio CD)
this cd is very essential to a real funk music fan. this album opened a whole different direction for funk music. you can play this straight through without skipping a song, it's just that creative and tight! i advise any true nusic fan to check this out. Jerome showed he could sail on his own ship.
