This review is from: Mutiny in the Time Machine (A Boys' Life Library Book) (Hardcover)
I had read this book when I was a kid and really enjoyed it. Found it about 30 years later finally and it is still enjoyable. The book follows the adventure of two Boy Scouts who discover a time machine and eventually jump around in time until they are caught in the Johnstown Flood. The story deals with themes of friendship, leadership and betrayal very intelligently and perhaps even a bit profoundly. Given all the attacks that a wholesome organization like the Scouts have been put under the last few years, this book is also a good argument for the values that Scouting teaches.
