4.0 out of 5 stars Wild Cats, July 18, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom - Wild Cats (DVD)
I thought this collection of dvds was really good. It showed the true lifestyle, nature, and behavior of cats in the wild. The main species that were being focused on are african and asian lions, el tigre(jaguar), and the cheetah. It also shows numerous numbers of other wild animals. A definite must see for nature and cat lovers!

4.0 out of 5 stars Marlin Perkins and His Sidekick Monkey in a Safari Suite, January 1, 2011
This review is from: Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom - Wild Cats (DVD)
When I saw Marlin with the monkey in the safari suite, I thought of the real strength chimpanzees have. People that have tried to make chimpanzees their pets have found themselves without fingers or even their nose (as seen in more recent documentaries). Times have changed, but you get just what is advertised in these videos. They are the actual shows from Mutual of Omaha's TV series. I liked watching these shows because it reminds me of Sunday nights when I was growing up. Interesting enough, I didn't realize at the time the capture and tagging of some of these animals was to move them to another animal protective zone. Today, most tv shows video animals in thier natural habitat without without disturbing them. I did find this series interesting to see Jane Goodall with the gorillas.

1.0 out of 5 stars misleading, January 17, 2007
This review is from: Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom - Wild Cats (DVD)
This documentary was horrible!!! Usually Mutual of Omaha has great stuff but this movie sucked. I should have know since it was made in the 60's. Most of the scenes are of this old dude talking with his mascot monkey and very little footage of wild cats. I was very very disapointed.
