I have not had this book for long but every recipe I've tried so far has been easy to follow and make and the results are enjoyed by everyone who has tried them. Of course, there is the additional bonus of being very healthy eating. Makes me think of Italy each time I cook these recipes. This is a great investment for easy, healthy, and delicious cooking, well worth the money!

Last month (May '08) my sister and I rented an apartment in Ortigia, Syracuse Sicily. I found Lynette Chaplin's cookbook on the coffee table. Using some of Lynette's fish recipes and the freshest fish and Sicilian produce from the market near by, I cooked great Italian meals. Her Italian recipes are true to Italian cooking; quality ingredients prepared quickly and simply.
What the book lacks in illustrations and glossy photos, it more than makes up in good, solid , workable recipes. It is definitely a cookbook for the kitchen, not the coffee table.

This book of recipes by Lynette Chaplin is fabulous. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious. The Italian choices are excellent but there are also a range of other types of cuisine. There are several Indian recipes which I have not yet tried but they sound mouth watering with just enough spice to make them interesting.

A real plus in this book is that all the measurements are in both European and American quantities. I have a whole shelf of cookbooks but this one will hold a very important place in my kitchen. It's excellent!
