Jesus On The Mainline, February 1, 2004

The best cut on this album by far is Jesus on the mainline. That song alone will inspire you to call on our Savior for help and guidance. Ralph II sings lead on this cut with the band backing him up. His lead singing will blow you away. Also "I'm not Ashamed," and "I Firmly Promise you" are two I really like. Ralph Stanley sings lead on most of the cuts and like always does an excellent job singing. If you like Ralph Stanley or great bluegrass/gospel praise music this album is good. The only thing I would have done different is mixed up the song selection a little. I would add a few more up-tempo songs to balance out the styles. If you are planning on buying only one Stanley gospel album, and you don't have "Back to the Cross," purchase that one instead. Overall it is an even better and more versatile album.
