I've been a huge fan of Lennon for years now. This is an awesome debut album from an incredibly talented (and under-appreciated!) young rock artist. Lennon has played the piano since childhood and is amazing at it. She produces and writes all of her own music (both the music and lyrics), and has written/produced music for other artists as well (very impressive, but even more so when you consider that she's still in her 20's). Her music is honest and beautiful, and at times brutal and haunting. She's also amazing live. I've seen her perform many times and each time was wonderful, she puts on a great show. I've met and spoken with her numerous times as well and she is super nice, very down to earth, and always makes time to stop and chat with fans at shows and sign autographs or take pictures. Her debut (5:30 Saturday Morning) is a bit heavier than her more recent albums, with a sort of industrial edge to it. It might not be for everyone, but you can't deny her talent. Definitely worth a listen, especially if you're into originality and talent!
