4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome action & suspense May 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I loved this book, I love vampires, & this was a different twist to an old story. There was just the right amount of action, romance, suspense, and back story to keep me interested.

I liked that the story was told from different points of view, but it did bring up a lot of repetition, hearing the same scene over & over was kind of strange & time consuming. It would have been good to know each person's (vampire's) feelings without rehatching scene after scene.

I really loved the way the story ended, an old mistake fixed so to speak! I will be reading the next book.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great mix! April 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
My Blood Runs Blue by Stacy Eaton

Read from March 31 to April 03, 2012

I do my best not to read reviews posted by others before I read a book because I worry it will affect what I think. So I read the synopsis of this book, and then bought it. I have to say that I really enjoyed it!

I knew it was a crime type story, but that's pretty much it. It's a crime story and so much more! I really enjoyed all the characters in the book, and I have to say that at no point was i bored or even a little tired of any of them. I found all the characters to be well rounded and believable, which was a lovely change!

There were some surprises and some interesting turns. Ms Eaton does a wonderful job of making sure that all the loose ends get tied up, and at no point was I left wondering, 'Yes, but...' The reader is left wondering for awhile, but sooner or later the answer is given.

This book had it all. It tied together nicely two of my favorite genre's and was believable in the way it was done. I loved the interaction of the characters and how they reacted to the things that were happening to them. I also found that when I was finished, I really wanted to get the next book in the series, because I want to know what happens next!

I would recommend this one to anyone, I'm sure that it won't disappoint!

5.0 out of 5 stars Vampire romance with the emphasis on romance - May 6, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
For romance readers who want to expand into vampire books, this story is a sweetheart of a romance. Tough cop Kristin is widowed and thinks love is over, so why does she keep having these romantic dreams and thoughts that are about a man she's never met? She's a cop. She has been trained to focus and that's what she does, keeps her mind on protecting her small town and solving crimes, right up until a terrible crime draws her into memories of a romance, well, I won't spoil the surprises but I will say, this is a well-written story weaving bits of fantasy through a believable setting and letting you see deeply into the thoughts and hearts of the main characters. Enjoy!

Nice solid book to start a series. I enjoyed the different paranormal aspects in this world and couldn't put it down. My only real beef is that I wish it was longer.
