5.0 out of 5 stars Still a favorite to me!, April 29, 2005
This review is from: My Brother's Keeper (Audio CD)
I have been listening to this album by Walter and Scotty Scott on and off ever since 1993. I Want To Know Your Name and Sticks and Stones got some airplay, but the entire album is very good. The funky numbers like my favorite, Open Door, are still potent. The smooth ballads, like one of Babyface's best written songs, With All My Heart, are well displayed here. And to answer the last reviewer, this was a side project that the Scott brothers decided to record. One of the members of Portrait produced some very superb songs here in Move Your Body and Open Door. The vocals are fabulous on every song. There was one song, Heaven, that later appeared on The Whispers' 1995 album, so one must ask if the duo sang it or the Whispers sang it. One of the most underrated, but yet fabulous R&B albums to come out in the '90s.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great follow up to the Whispers' "More of the Night", February 18, 2004
By
This review is from: My Brother's Keeper (Audio CD)
I don't know why this album is not credited to all the Whispers, but I do know that it picks off where 1990's More Of The Night leaves off. My Brother's Keeper again employs a possy of young, energetic producers. Every song is a winner as the brothers are in top form. They share lead vocals on every song although Scotty really has the better voice. You'll love the naughty Dirty Dancin' and how it cleverly transitions into Heaven. For good old fashioned fun, nothing can touch the remake of I Want To Know Your Name. The featured players include Portrait (they've never done anything as good as Open Door), Babyface, and Gerald Albright.
