My four-year-old granddaughter loved the story so much that she said she wanted to dream it that night. The illustrations are beautiful, too.

Yoon-duck Kwon's My Cat Copies Me tells of a little girl and her cat. The independent cat doesn't like to be held, but the cat will follow the girl around. Later the girl expands her horizons and copies the cat's activities. (Thus the climbing on top of the bookcase seen on the book cover.) This leads the girl to face her fears and make friends with the outside world. The illustrations are bright and imaginative. They also give us a glimpse into a Korean home and neighborhood. Really a charming tale for any cat lover. Karen Woodworth-Roman, Librarian and East Asian Children's Books editor.

This book is imaginative and beautifully illustrated. The paper is a thicker, heartier fare than most children's books we own and it holds up against our 1 year-olds thrashing remarkably well. Our children love to read it; we'll be keeping this for a long, long time.

My 3 year old Neice will not sleep at nite without this book. She loves animals and this is the cutest, sweetest learning book for her. It totally captures her attention and she reads it everyday. Thank you.

As the little girl says, her cat copies her... until she decides to copy her cat, becoming braver and doing new things in the process.

The illustrations are more fantastical than realistic - in several scenes she's the same *size* as her cat, and she gains cat's eyes for a while there! - but that just adds to the charm of the book.

This is a beautiful book: both the illustrations and the story. Really exquisite. My 2 and 3 year old sons love it, although it is slightly more of a girl's book. I am so sad this is the author's only book... I have been searching for more. I would recommend this book to anyone.
