5.0 out of 5 stars Oh, okay, I understand!!!
There are 3 big dancehall group albums that drop this fall, Innocent Kru was the first, T.O.K. is the second and Ward 21 will be third, of the first 2, T.O.K has to be considered the best.
This album, which I felt would ultimately be an overhyped flop, is fantastic. I understand all the hype now, its more than warranted!
There are several excellent songs here,...

3.0 out of 5 stars a real jamaican's veiw
T.O.K is okay they are a group in jamaica who are trying to make money for them. They have a lot of old and new songs. Chi chi mon is any who likes that song. Shake ur bam bam is only for Real jamaicans because americans have no booty.

There are several excellent songs here, but the best has to be Gun Shy, the flows on that track are just ridiculous. Gimmi the Muzik wih Shabba is also very good. You also have Man Ah Bad Man with Bounty Killer, You Ah Murder, I Believe It, All Day and Keep It Blazing. Overall, even if the geniuses at VPRecords neglected to put Bun Friend Enemy, TOK's best record on the album, its still very very good, and will be difficult for Ward 21 to top.
(Oh yeah and Chi-Chi Man is on the album too)

5.0 out of 5 stars TOK 4 EVA!!!!!, August 3, 2003

TOK is undoubtedly the best group out of Jamaica. They are appealing in every way. They look good, they sound good, their lyrics are sharp, and they are probably the most down to earth entertainers from Jamaica. The album was off the chain. It was wonderful. Every track on it had me jumping up and down all over the place. 'Though they may be singing about the same topics and issues as everyone else, their approach to the topics, and their delivery is just amazing. I can't wait for the next album.

Excellent tracks on the album are: Gimme De Music, Saturday, All Day, Gun Shy, the hidden track, Money To Burn, Eagles Cry, and I Believe.

The one thing missing from the album was the track 'player haters'. that would make the album out of this universe.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tight, September 29, 2005
This review is from: My Crew My Dawgs (Audio CD)
I ordered this CD & it came pretty soon unbroken, unbattered. The CD is good if you like hardcore, dancehall reggae. There are a few things that will surprise you, but they only give you a look into the everyday world of Jamaica's hoods (similar to the ones in the US). If you like to listen or dance, you'll like this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic, September 30, 2003
This review is from: My Crew My Dawgs (Audio CD)
I was born in raised in the South, so I really never had exposure to Dancehall till I went down to Jamaica. I quickly became a fan of Bounty Killer, and came back to the states and found some of his older music. One of the songs I heard was Man ah Badman with TOK, and I had to get some more of their stuff.

I downloaded some of their stuff, and preordered this CD about a month before it came out. From a fan's perspective, I think this is a classic. I love every track on this album, and am anxiously anticipating their next piece to drop.

Best tracks on this one have to be Gun Shy and Alone(the hidden track at the end) in my opinion.

This review is from: My Crew My Dawgs (Audio CD)
This group if off the wall, they have been around for a long while now. If you like them, check out Kevin Lyttle - Turn Me On, Rick Ramdehal - SexyDancin and RUPEE - Tempted to touch. These are the real caribbean musicians, enough of the jump, jump and wave, its about time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Reject T.O.K. Homophobia!, September 7, 2004
This review is from: My Crew My Dawgs (Audio CD)
Jamaican gay men and lesbians are increasingly under attack because of the murderous content of dancehall from T.O.K. - crazy beats for sure.
From the Guardian U.K.: "As a black gay man of Jamaican descent, let me translate a few typical lyrics from the patois. 'Shoot a bullet in a gay man's spine' (Vybz Kartel); "Queers who get together in a car ... let's burn them, burn them!" (TOK). Biggy C and co's silly remarks are representative of people who care for nothing but having a good time and believe issues like homophobia, sexism and racism are irrelevant. (Letter, Ted Brown, Chair, Black Lesbians and Gays Against Homophobia)
