I bought this book for my husband on his first Father's Day. We are both very happy with it. It's short but touching and has beautiful illustrations. For example, one page shows the baby bear and his father sitting on top of a mountain, watching the sun set. The text reads, "I'm as still as still can be, when you're sitting next to me." Another page reads, "I'm the very bravest bear, when I know that you are there." Pretty cute stuff.

It's also very durable. My 10 month old son loves to turn the pages and has even drooled on it a bit. We just wipe it clean, with no problem.

I bought this book to be "from" my daughter to her father for Christmas. The text inside doesn't mention whether Little Bear is a boy or girl, but the back cover states that "When Little Bear is with his daddy, he is..." So I took a permanent marker and turned his into her and he into she!

It's frustrating because there's no reason to have that on the cover when the story is absolutely neutral and lovely.

The book is very short, sweet story of a baby's companionship with his daddy. The story is about how the baby bear feels/is when he's with his daddy (i.e. brave, still). It's also a very sturdy board book with a cushiony soft cover, which makes it a great book for very little ones. The cover can be wiped clean and it's fairly chew-proof. The only complaint I have is that some of the sentences are split between pages so it's a tiny bit awkward to read at a couple points.

I bought this for my brother, who is a new daddy. The illustrations are soft and adorable, the story a perfect length for a new baby. I definitely recommend it!

This book is great. The illustrations are so cute and the text is simple and sweet. It is very durable. My husband and 2 year old LOVE reading this book when he puts him to bed.

This book is very cute. The illustrations are lovely, the wording sweet. We got it as a gift for my husband's first Father's Day and he and his little boy enjoy reading it together.

This book is lacking a little in story, but it does have a very simple story. The baby likes turning the pages herself, so this works very well for that. Not much to the story and the illustrations are simple. It is an okay book.

I love how the outside of this book has a pillow-y plush feel. I was not aware of that when I purchased it. The pages are sturdy too, and will withstand little mouths and messy hands.
The content is sweet and kind. I love that it doesn't have sexist content about daddy "going to work" like some other daddy focused books. (In my house, both parents work, but I want my son to understand that lots of families have different and equally functional situations, including ones where Mommy goes to work and Daddy stays home.)

Nice story for the father/child reading session or to help think about daddy during the day when he might be away. Really nice illustrations.

It is a bit difficult to find a sweet daughter-to-father book. Most are geared towards son-to-father and daughter-to-mother, although I did take advice from another reviewer and take a sharpie to edit the back cover where it says "he" (I added an 's'). But besides that, it is a genderless story. Very cute, very nice quality pages and cover, lots of color. It is a simple story, the perfect amount of words for my then 1-year-old. She's 17 months now and still very much enjoys the book.
