My 2 year old son adores this book - he calls it "The Daddy Book". Even at this young age, it helps my son better understand what his Daddy does for a living and how it affects our family. Sorry to hear that it is not currently available. Makes a great gift for military families welcoming a new child.

This book is often out of stock and hard to get, but once I found a supply, I purchased a dozen! This is my favorite gift to give at Army wives' baby showers. It never fails to illicit exclamations of "Where did you get this book and where can I get a copy for my child"? It is also one of my son's favorite books and helps him comprehend what "going to the field" really means. A great book for young Army Brats!

An outstanding book for young children whose parents are in the Army. A book children will remember and keep for the rest of their lives. When they grow up it will really bring back the memories of their parents! I understand the authors may be writing books on parents of other branches of military service. Watch for them!

I bought this book for my grandson. His father is with the 101st at Ft. Campbell Ky. It was a great help for him to understand Daddy leaving for Iraq. He says his Daddy's job is to protect the world and he and his mommy.

I recently purchased this book for my 2-year old son and 8-month old daughter. My son has gotten alot out of this book and has learned what it means when Daddy goes to PT and out to the field. It's a wonderful addition to the home of any military family!

This is a wonderful example of how children view the military. A Must Read! The military has a manual for all aspects of the soldier. This remembers the family and the military child.

I got this book while my husband was at JRTC. I had a hard time getting through it. The girls love it! My husband read it to them before he deployed and used it to tell them that he'd be away for a while. 100% Get this book!

As a daycare provider on an Army post I read this book almost daily! The kids love it. My own three-year-old will tell people "My Daddy is a soldier", it is great and makes me proud!

We never even made it through the book one time! This was just much too old for my four year old! I gave this book to a friend with older kids. I don't know if they liked it or not?! This might be good for the 8-10 year old range?????
