Gay Love Letters book is astounding and moving in so many ways. I'm impressed with the level of scholarship that Rictor Norton did to bring us this collection.
Beautiful letters from the Han dynasty in China, amorous missives from Henry James, medieval priests, Michaelangelo, Tchaikovsky, Alexander Hamilton (yes, that one) Lord Byron, Whitman, and the list goes on and on through the ages to more contemporary figures like Allen Ginsberg, Cocteau, Pasolini and others. This is a treasure. Norton's introduction is a well-written presentation of the historical approach and perplexing nature of dealing with Same-sex love letters from different eras.

A great book for reading to get an idea of what type of love letter you may want to write; old world, war years, beat generation. Also a wonderful inspiration of love shared which goes beyond merely physical attraction, delving into the hearts of the letter writers.
