Very Disappointed!,

This review is from: My Deepest Love: Zack (Paperback)
Given the synopsis, along with the positive reviews I read, I thought I'd truly enjoy this story. I couldn't have been more wrong! Lets start with the main characters: Zack and Traci. Zack is a great guy all around and it's easy to see how any woman could fall for him. However, Traci came across as immature and naive. Zack was sweet, romantic, and loving towards her; yet their relationship seemed so unbalanced to me. In return all he seemed to get were Traci's silly assumptions (that led to juvenile arguments) and her refusal to be seen in public with him because she feared her sister's opinion. It just all seemed ridiculous. I thought Zack could do better and I found Traci irritating and hard to relate to.
Aside from this, I thought the dialogue between Zack and his brothers seemed somewhat unnatural and forced... like the author was struggling to create believable male conversations/dialogue. The dialogue also seemed a bit redundant when Zack referred to Traci with the same phrases of endearments (..."your beautiful face" etc). I love a great romance novel, but this one fell short. It was a struggle to even finish the book with the above mentioned issues. If you want a GREAT interracial romance, check out "Three Wishes" by Seressia Glass.

Another Dud...,
By
This review is from: My Deepest Love: Zack (Paperback)
I'm starting to think that maybe I have masochistic tendencies, because I keep reading things by this author knowing that I will be disappointed in the end. It's a sickness I tell you. I just don't get it. I won't even get into the grammatical mistakes in this book because it is typical for this author. Her editors need to be fired ASAP! I don't know why any man would put up with a GIRL like Traci. And yes I meant to say girl because she's so damn immature and constantly trying to sabotage her own life. She was an idiot. I have to give props to Zack for even sticking with that loony bird. If you're an intelligent reader, please don't waste your time on this.

WASTE OF A GOOD BOOK!!!,
By
This review is from: My Deepest Love: Zack (Paperback)
I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I FIRST ORDERED THIS BOOK, UNTIL I GOT PAST THE 1ST CHAPTER. TRACI WAS AN ANNOYING BORE WHO USED CHILDISH ARGUMENTS TO MAKE HER BOYFRIEND ZACK JUMP THROUGH HOOPS. SHE WAS A SUPPOSED PROFESSIONAL WOMAN WHO RECENTLY GAINED HER INDEPENDENCE FROM HER OLDER SISTER BUT SHE HAD NO CLUE AS TO HOW TO DEAL WITH AN ADULT MATURE RELATIONSHIP! ZACK WAS SEXY, PATIENT AND VERY ROMANTIC. I KEPT WONDERING WHAT HE WAS DOING WITH TRACI!!! BY THE THIRD CHAPTER I WANTED TO THROW THE BOOK AWAY. IT HAD TOO MANY TYPE-O'S AND CONTRIDICTORY SENTENCES. LIKE WHEN TRACI'S SISTER CHERISE WAS WORRYING HERSELF TO DEATH ABOUT LOOSING HER ANTIQUE SHOP TO ZACK AND HER SISTER TRACI HAD THE DEED ALL ALONG...THE ONLY ENJOYMENT I GOT FROM THE BOOK BESIDES ZACK WAS THE SUB PLOT BETWEEN LEE AND THE FULL FIGURED CHERESE.

I agree with A.M. Slater, I had great expectations for this book but it was written with little substance. I did not feel a connection to the characters at all. Some parts of the book were good and I could relate to but then the story would go off on some childish tangent that made me put the book down which is not a good sign for a good book.

A Big Let down!!!,
By Good Lovin' "hot reads" (kansas city) - See all my reviews
This review is from: My Deepest Love: Zack (Paperback)
This book's synopsis and front cover leads you to believe that this is a hot and sexy story with two mature adults instead you get two people so immature it made me sick!!! This story got on my nerves with all the stupid antics and her sister was a control freak!!!. This story had too many issues and the writer left her characters mired in the issues for too long and the sex scenes were pitiful! I have given this author too much money in hopes she'll improve each time she writes but I am done buying anything from Marie Rochelle!!! Keep your money for some true love stories with hot and sexy loving going on before the end of the book!!!!!

I could not believe I wasted my money on this. My head hurts just trying to read it. I could not even make it to the end of the book, what a waste. I should demand my money back, the book was that bad.

Lovin the Drace Brothers,
By Lyddie (Cali) - See all my reviews
This review is from: My Deepest Love: Zack (Paperback)
I'm very new to the interracial genre world and after reading Marie Rochelle's "Taken By Storm" I couldn't wait for the next series. Zack Drace had me mesmerized. He is truly breathtaking, independent and confident. His female lead was a bit immature, however his ability to not let anything stand in his way made him more delicious!

My Deepest Love: Zack,
This review is from: My Deepest Love: Zack (Paperback)
Traci works hard to keep her body in shape and people notice. One man in particular is very appreciative of her efforts. Zack Drace has been attracted to Traci since the first time he spotted her working out in the gym but having never dated a black woman before Zack could not find the nerve to approach her. When fate steps in and he meets her again outside of the gym Zack gathers the courage to finally ask her out only to find Traci had her own reservations about dating a man outside of her race.
Finding their way in this new relationship is further complicated when their family members become involved. Although I wasn't totally entranced by My Deepest Love: Zack I did find it to be an enjoyable romance story. Zack and Traci were likable characters, even though Traci could be a bit trying at times. In spite of that, I really did like her and Zack together. The Drace brothers on a whole had a knack about putting their foot in their mouths and ticking off the objects of their affections. The Drace brothers were an interesting bunch; I liked getting to know them and the women that will turn their lives upside down in the upcoming books in this series. Readers looking for a sweet romance will enjoy My Deepest Love: Zack. Ley Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

I love those Drace brothers,
This review is from: My Deepest Love: Zack (Paperback)
I brought this book when it was an ebook and I loved it! I'm so excited that I finally get to add it to my book shelf. Zack Drace is sexy as SIN! I love how he doesn't let anything stand in his way of getting Traci to fall in love with him.
Not only is he a hottie, but so are his three brothers. This series is sizzling hot! I can't wait until the third book comes out with Lee Drace. Crossing my fingers that it will be in print too. Oh, by the way. This is an interracial romance between a white man and a black woman.
