Book Description

WARNING:
****This is part one and all your questions won't be answered without purchasing part 2.***

She thinks he’s despicable. He wants her back…with a vengeance.

BOOK TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ8m9f7JDzk

Short blurb: A woman must travel around the globe with her despicable ex in order to get her hands on her inheritance.

Longer blurb: Ashly Roberts and Jake Connors are barely twenty when they decide to take the proverbial plunge and walk down the aisle to exchange vows in front of the dearly beloved. Basking in bridal bliss, Ashly feels she is living the perfect fairytale, until she’s faced with a runaway groom, dumped at the altar by bad-boy fiancé, Jake Connors.

Five years later, Jake steps back into her life…

He realizes that being a no-show for their nuptials was the worst mistake of his life. A little older and more mature, he is ready to fight for Ashly’s love once again. When Ashly sees him, she can’t deny the attraction she feels, but her hormones are overruled by the horror of what he did to her in the past. Nevertheless, Jake’s most potent weapon, those dazzling baby blues, ignites a spark in Ashly, no matter how angry she wants to be. She cannot deny the spark, and she only hopes the inferno it ignites will not consume her heart again.

*This is NOT erotica* This is a love story and a romance. Ashly is a photographer and took this hot, shirtless picture of Jake before they broke up. He hopes they can rekindle the magic and re-take this picture.

*This is a two book series* (All of your answers won't be answered in book 1)

2.0 out of 5 stars Boring. I had to force myself to finish. October 24, 2013
By amac
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was boring. A woman jilted at the alter who comes face to face with her ex fiancé five years later at the reading of her mothers will. The heroines mother put him in the will, for reasons unknown, and they each get 25 million if they travel to these preplanned destinations and take photos of themselves as proof. The ex is desperate, as he has nothing and needs the money, and he comes off as a money grubbing idiot. He seems like a big boob! He offers lame excuses for his behavior five years ago. The heroine wants nothing to do with him. That's the jest of it.

There is no heat. There is no romance. I am not talking graphic or raunchy. I don't need that. But, there is nothing. I didn't even get a "spark" from them. I could care less, based on this book, whether they reconcile or not. This whole book is about their excursions to these places and fighting. No second book for me :( I need more from my reads.

2.0 out of 5 stars Hard to Get Through November 9, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I ended up skimming through most of the book. The author spent more time describing scenery, fish colors and room décor rather then building on the two main characters. And to have it continue in another book (IMO is too expensive for a Kindle book that has no meat in it to begin with) is ridiculous. I don't mind cliff hangers if the book keeps my interest, nor do I mind spending that kind of money on a good book. I have gotten other books that were free and didn't hesitate to purchase the continuing saga, but this left me with no desire to continue the journey with these two characters.

I can't believe the book just stops and you have to buy ANOTHER book for the ending. I probably won't bother as the storyline is pretty drawn out and predictable. I'm very disappointed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dont waste your time. July 1, 2014
By Sandra
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If this had been a complete story it might have been developed into a good story. It is half of a book designed to make you spend money to buy the ending. It isn't good enough to make me want to do that. Too repetitious and slow to create much interest.

1.0 out of 5 stars grammatical errors April 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Whoever wrote this book needs to hire a new editor. I found too many errors for this book to have gone to print. Although I did enjoy the story line, I wish it wasn't divided into two books.

i was going to read.. but, well that " have to buy the next one and the next one " junk just turns me off. I only read authors who can write stand alone books even if they are in a series.

I wish more authors could figure out how to write that way.. maybe when they get a bit more mature they'll figure it out.

" Hey read this book in a series, amazing book great ending, can't wait to read the next one in the zyb series." (that's the kind of review the author would get instead of those of us going screw it.. tired of it)

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy Reading Genre November 8, 2013
By TC
Format:Kindle Edition
I loved the easy style of this book. The story just flowed and didn't require any work on my part, which is how I like to read. If there was an 'easy reading' genre, My Despicable Ex would fit there perfectly. Author Sierra Rose knows how to tell a story in a fun, coherent way.

The author took a chance by splitting this into two separate books, but what a great way to give the reader a full flavor of her writing and the story before fully committing to it. Being free, there was nothing to lose and it was stated very clearly up front that this wasn't the full story. I loved it. The story moves around the globe in an attempt for a former couple to gain a substantial inheritance provided they can photo document their togetherness after a bitter split five years previously. The interaction between Ashly and Jake is quite comical and thoroughly entertaining with witty and fun exchanges. Not to mention the excitement they face together in different parts of the world.

This would be a great read for vacation when one just wants to relax and unwind. I'm off to get the second book to see if they get the money or not. A very fun book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time January 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm willing to give new authors a chance and the information did say it was part 1 but in other books I've read a part 1, the part was a complete story and not a couple of chapters out of a book. This does not leave me wanting more. It reads like a travel diary of a resort in Australia, the Grand Canyon, and Africa strung together with a flimsy excuse for a story. I can only assume part 2 is more of the same. I can only assume the author wanted to get a tax write off for research at these places.
