Adrianne Byrd's MY DESTINY is a light-hearted look at a ten-year relationship between a man and a woman who think they're "just friends." The characters go from antagonism to friendship to love. The secondary characters are excellent. They and the readers know early on that Miles and Destiny are more than friends. The book has some great laugh-out-loud moments and some very poignant moments as both characters deal with the deaths of close family members and expectations they have placed upon themselves as a result. If you liked "When Harry Met Sally," you'll enjoy "My Destiny."

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!! I ACTUALLY READ IT TWICE IN ONE WEEK. WAY TO GO MS. BYRD. YOU DONE GOOD.

It was a pleasure,to read a love story without profanity,backstabbing when your friends are for you and cover all life problem.

THIS IS A WONDERFUL LOVE STORY, IT'S FUNNY HOW LOVE IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU AND YOU NOT KNOW IT. ADRIANNE BYRD IS A GREAT WRITER. I ENJOYED EVERY PAGE OF THIS BOOK

This was a great book. I actually read the whole thing in one day which i didnt expect to do. This book kept my attention, and after i got to chapter 11 I just couldnt put the book down. I recommend this book to everyone because it is just so great how it all ended. Its funny how love can be right in front of your face and you can just keep on overlooking it. Everyone go out and get this book because you will love it.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I don't always love Adrianne Byrd, but I bought this one because I thought I would like the storyline. Well, I loved this book from beginning to end. I will definitely take a closer look at some of her other books that I may have overlooked.

This book had me rolling. It was so funny and touching at the same time. When Adele and Violet met at the apartment's together, that was comedy. I really liked Miles and Destiny together. It is nice to read about someone that has discovered love later in life (well like late 30's early 40's). I loved the cast of the friends also. The interactions were very real. This was a very good and enjoyable read.

I really enjoyed this book. Both characters were likable. I enjoyed the friendship between them the best.

I remmember reading this book for the first time a couple of years ago and I fell in love with both charcters. Ms byrd is always new and inventive with her ideas and storylines.

I really enjoyed this book. It was the first book by Ms. Byrd that I had read and found that once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. The story was well written and in addition to being romantic it had some funny parts also. Destiny and Miles story was simply beautiful. After reading this book I have read some of Ms. Byrd's other books and totally agree, she is an excellent writer with her flair for adding comedy and romance.
