Stephen Hurd has moved into the realm of "Praise and Worship" ambassador. This CD cements his role in the up and coming group of artists with this type of flair. The music on this CD is so vibrant that many times I just have to go back and repeat tracks over and over because my heart and soul is so into the worship mode, and the words are so meaningful that they jump out at you. Get your praise and worship on following "My Destiny."

I received this cd 10-11-2006 and have already listened it 3 times and recommended it to about 5 people and here I am recommending it to you. Buy it, you will not be disappointed. It is awesome...the presence of the Lord comes through in every song. My favorites are tracks 9 - 20. Awesome, simply awesome and anointed!

Stephen Hurd did a concert at my church a couple of weeks before he recorded this cd and I was amazed that he had done so much of the new material. Needless to say, everyone in attendance was anticipating not only the recording but the release as well and I was not disappointed. This is Praise and Worship Music that breaks down generational dividers. He blends old school with new school so well that you don't know when he's transitioning from one to another.

A must have for anyone who really lives the lifestyle of a Praise and Worshipper! You don't have to be deep to go beyond the veil!

Once again, Stephen Hurd has contributed to Praise & Worship in a powerful way. His anointing comes forth in the music and ministers to the depths of one's soul. I would highly recommend this piece to anyone, saint or sinner, and especially to those who share the ministry of Praise and Worship.

all i can say for this one right here is JESUS JESUS JESUS!!! i must admit i had been sleepin on stephen hurd, i didnt buy his last project, but had heard some of the tracks and really fell in love w/"undignified praise." i rem. seein him minister a couple yrs. ago on TBN and wasnt really impressed with his vocals, honestly his voice was kinda irritating (maybe he was having a bad day that day or it coulda been me- lol) but man after i bought "my destiny" i was so satisfied until i really didnt have to buy another cd for a long while if i didnt want to b/c this one did it for me! it stayed in my cd player for bout a month straight none stop w/o changing it. this brotha out did himself with this project and it is quite rare and i do mean rare when u find a project that is near perfect from start to finish, i mean the entire cd from the 1st track to the very last track is completely awesome and i think it's like 19 or 20 tracks on the whole cd and that's rare these days too. it starts out with uplifting & upbeat praise, then flows into that caribbean flavor, then transitions stright into worship. by the end of the cd i promise you'll be on the floor! i love the declarations and the prophetic flow too on the cd esp. when he transitions into the worship. but one thing that i really love about the cd is the praise & worship flow, i love how he started out with the upbeat songs and then sailed his way into the slower more powerful worship songs. its one of those cd's u can put on when u really want to enter into the presence of god and you dont have to worry about ur flow being distracted. it just takes you higher and higher, the first time i listened to it by the time i got to destiny pt. 2 by the way which is my favorite song on the cd, i was gone! i didnt even realize there was another track left on the cd till like a couple days later (lol). i recommend this cd to everyone who loves good praise & worship music, its well worth it! and did i mention he's a very well balanced artist that can really appeal to a diversed genre of people. he knows how to work the new skool flavor and capture the attention of the younger listeners as well as not loose the depth of the tradition that many of us grew up on. and on top of all that he's a worshipper, not just a singer which really makes a true difference to me! man any artist that can take some of the old hyms of the church and bring a fresh new life to them without jackin them up is alright with me! i mean in my opinion this is really a perfect cd with no need to skip or pass by any of the tracks unless you just wanna hear some of ur favorites over and over. i will be gettin any upcoming projects from this powerhouse praise & worship leader from now on!!! cant wait for the next project!

If Stephen Hurd's previous release `A Call To Worship' merely set out his stall, then this 2006 release `My Destiny' furnishes it with a greater display of his talents. The second album can make or break an artist, either establishing the artist or exposing a good first album as a flash in the pan. `My Destiny' definitely cements Stephen Hurd's presence among a crop of up-and-coming praise and worship leaders from US gospel music scene. And it's from the hand of Gospel musical director and producer legend Steven Ford so I assure you that the quality is high.

One pleasing observation is that relatively simple vocal arrangements sit on relatively difficult music. The result is songs that others may sing yet having an album that's entertaining enough to listen to. There's a mix of new and traditional, showing a solid grounding as he declares his desire to bridge the generation gap, which is just as important as the multi-cultural gap.

There are outstanding songs; the tour-de-force `Great Praise', the tasty Latin `The Glory Chant', the warm lilt of `Todah' and Stephen Hurd's title track soliloquy `My Destiny'.

You'll hear more refined male vocalists than Stephen Hurd but the call of ministry is more than that. This album has flashes of the modern yet is wisely underpinned with well-traveled songs paying homage to the traditional. `My Destiny' is a mature offering, showing where we are and how we got there.

Stephen Hurd is and has always been and will always be a TRUE WORSHIPPER! This CD will draw in! Whenever I listen to tracks 9 -18 I break into pray! Tracks 13,17&18 do it for me!

My Mentor gave me this CD a while back and I listened to it but only 1 time. The other day I popped this CD in and I haven't been able to take it out. This CD really emphasizes the fact that God has a plan for my life and that if I put all my trust in Him, He will help me get to My Destiny. My favorite song is of course the title track (Destiny Pt. 1 & 2) and it's on repeat. Maurette Brown Clark (my favorite gospel female artist) does what she does best on Pt. 2.

This CD is a great CD for anytime! I use this CD as my Morning Worship, I wake up pop it in and head straight for "Glory of the Lord" and let it play from there. "Keep Me In Your Glory" really gets me... I could just play that "Morning Medley" all morning, it really sets my atmosphere for my day.
