Don't be fooled by the fact that this band is made up of former OVERCOME mebers, or that it's on a primarily hardcore label -- this is brutal, technical death metal. It's obvious that these guys have been listening to their CANNIBAL CORPSE and SUFFOCATION albums, as influence from both of those bands can be heard on this disc. There's also just a hint of that high-tech, ultra-brutal deathgrind sound that bands like ORIGIN and CATTLE DECAPITATION provide in abundance. The riffs are killer, and the drumming and vocals are more than solid. The songwriting is also solid, but this is the primary area where I feel that the band has room to improve. Also worth noting are the intelligent, sincere, spiritually-motivated lyrics, which are (for me, anyway) a welcome change from the typical gore/death lyrics. All in all, this is a high-caliber death metal release, recommended to fans of any of the bands mentioned above.

this cd kicks ass I thought that because they were a christian band that it was going to suck but they sure did prove me wrong. The only thing bad about the cd is that you cant really hear the vocals.

WOW! I love this CD. Every song was captivating and I was literally on pins and needles waiting for the next track. I just love it. These guys are even heavier than most secular deathmetal bands. Here's a track review:

I know i'm a little late with this review seeing as though the damn album came out 2 years ago and i apologize, Let me start by saying that this band is great the vocal delivery is almost as heavy as the jackhammer riffs that lay all over this album there are definate hints to bands like suffocation and cannibal corpse the drums are great and exremely varied in there execution, the blend of technicallity and simple hardcore-esqe mosh riffs is simply crushing, 5 stars!!, i simply cannot wait for another great release from this amazing young band!

I have been listening to christian metal since the VERY early days of bands like SAINT, BARREN CROSS and VENGEANCE. Since those days many bands have come and gone. Some good and some bad. So I feel I have a pretty good feel for whats out there right now, and INDWELLING is incredible. All throughout this cd these guys change up the tempo in numerous ways. The lead vocals are grind baritone done just right, it's not overpowering the music. The drumming is awesome and you'll even hear some quads thrown in at times. If you like bands like SLAYER, DEMON HUNTER and LIVING SACRIFICE - you'll love this album.

The way the death metal must be. Powerful growls, crushing and complex riffs, awesome drums, excelent songwritting and production. Lyrics are included in the CD. Best tracks: ¨Throats as Open Graves¨ and ¨Whited sepulchre¨

When I was in a store and I saw this CD from the cover I knew it was a metal band. But then I saw a little sticker on the front that said "brutal metal". Now, I've heard some pretty brutal stuff, so I didn't know if i was going to be suprised or if I was going to be disappointed. Turned out to be the latter because this CD has nothing new, but it still rocks. The first song really takes off though leading into a really good but disappointingly short 30 minute album. Now for the price it costs, it should have more songs (only 10) and a longer time. Disappointing!
