I am 8 years old and I really like this game.
It's the best DS game that I have. I play it when-ever I can.
So far I've only been able to play the American farm, but I can hardly wait to play the others.
This game is a little tricky and I wouldn't be able to play it if I couldn't read.

I agree with Laura's review....I bought it thinking it was similar to FarmVille...boy was I wrong. I kept speeding it up to get the days over with. But that only made the animals go to the bathroom faster and lay eggs faster which you have to sell faster and then they got dirty faster and you had to feed them more often and .....well, you get the picture. And if you don't give them the medicine quick enough they DIE really quick. So you have to keep medicine on hand which is expensive. And it's really hard to keep track of all the animals at once. But you have to have all the animals to unlock future farms...Oh well. Maybe I can find a little kid who has nothing better to do with his time but clean up little piles of p**p with a little broom and look at a little chicken wander around and sell it for half of what I paid for it.

I am 12yrs old and have always loved cows. In this game I get to raise a variety of animals and upgrade my farm. When I upgrade it enough, I get to go to a different farm around the world. This game is fun and easy to learn.

My 8 year old daughter and I are sharing this game. I think this game is interesting because there IS a little strategy involved (the buying and selling aspects are fun) but as another person already said....I also kept speeding up the days to make the game go faster. What makes this game annoying (for ME at least) is the game guide who is helping you out. The person keeps popping up multiple times a minute to tell you what your animals need. You can clearly SEE what your animals need if you watch them on the top screen....so I found the CONSTANT interrupted game play to be frustrating.

That being said....my 8 year old is also playing the game and she is really enjoying herself. She is still on the American farm. I don't know if she is really able to understand the business strategy involved (having to buy certain animals at first and making enough money off of them to start replacing them with other animals). But she hasn't complained about it at all and she plays it when she can.....so I'll give this game 3 stars.

Bought this game for my little sister. She seemed to enjoy it for a little bit then I guess it got boring. She doesn't play it anymore.

This game is more boring then fun but boring in a not fun way. Trust me there is always something to do. The advice person next door was constantly blocking my animals with advice I already knew. Plus there is not really a story line. I would not have wasted my money on this if I had known. I think a purchase of SimAnimals would be a much better choice.
