"This one was made into a movie. Historical set in the old west its a story about a gunslinger that comes to stay with a young widow and her son alone in Montana she belongs to the community of the "Plain" people. This one is on my "keeper" shelf and one that I always recommend as it is a very, very good story and 2 hankie for sure."
"This one is also a keeper of mine and sure to get the 2 hankie star. Paranormal about a soul collector who is kicked out of heaven he is sentenced to earth to find out what it means to be more "human". He lands in the prairie of a young widow who has a son and pretends to be a drifter his presence is not good (as in the Outsider) for the young widow and the ending is just incredible."
"Another Amish tale by Annette Blair this one is also about a widower who has children and calls upon a woman in the community that has been practicing "english" medicine... which of course is forbidden in this Amish community."
"A historical romance that has been on many a romance lover "keeper" shelves since it was written. A story of a woman who is rescued from a brothel by a widower looking for a mother for his children, and a brother who is as sweet as his brother yet rugged as well."
"A beautiful Amish woman who lives in a Amish community that the hero is shooting a film. He "discovers" this beauty introduces her to the world outside of her community... this is a contemporary tale about choices and ajustment to things that we are kept from. Good book it maybe a bit outdated but I still enjoyed it."
"One of Ms. Hoags early novels long before she became mainstream. Sarah (yep you guessed it) a young Amish widow, works outside of the Amish community she meets a young emergency room physician who is recuperating at his sisters Inn."
"Quinn belonged to a family that lived in the Amish community although her family were not Amish. She fell in love with Adam, something happened and Quinn left the community. She returns years later and Adam still loves her but can they put aside their past hurts? Contemporary novel."
"A contemporary Amish tale. The premise of the book is a dead infant to a Amish teenager who SWEARS up & down she did not kill her baby. Her attorney is from the city & is running from demons of her own but, begrundgingly lands herself in this strange society with their constant rules defending the young teenager. Very good book that they also made a Lifetime movie of."
