5.0 out of 5 stars Great remixes of brilliant songs. "My fever has broken!", September 13, 2002
Things that make me dubious of remixes are when they become exceedingly long and boring, and when they become detached from the original source. Happily, neither is the case with the remixes on "My Fever Broke." The presence of Rasputina is always felt, but new life has been breathed into the songs. "State Fair" is sometimes a bit softened, and "SweetWaterKill" is sometimes made a bit edgier, both for the better, and frequently by using sounds from the original songs, in a different way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this, but i wish it had more songs..., September 10, 2002

(REAL NAME)
This is an excelent remix EP. I elected not to buy Transelvanion Regurgitations because it was too rock. This EP goes right to the house fan in me. Tho not exactly house the remixes are a little more electronic/trance-ish. I like all the remixes, and Sweetwater Kill is my fav song from the album. Problem is, State Fair was only so so for me. I really wish more songs had been slated for remixing.
The remixes are absolutely great **ESPECIALLY** the "tweaker ambient remix" of State Fair. It takes all the harshness out of state fair and makes it almost a haunting, yet positive melody.

If you liked "Cabin Fever", get this. It's worth it, especially for the great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Fever Has Broken, August 30, 2002
By Kurtis Lee (saginaw, MI) - See all my reviews
This is the second EP I bought by Rasputina (the first being Transylvanian Regurgitations) and I'm so happy to see that they successfully did it again. It's strange to believe that remixes of three girls playing cellos can sound so good.

The first track, At the State Fair with a White Trash Sucker is a remix of a song off their new album, Cabin Fever, and the best track on the album. Behind that is the State Fair's Tweaker Remix by Chris Vrenna, who co-produced Rasputina's album How We Quit the Forest, as well as remixed some previous songs.

But if you're sick of remixes, the EP also includes AntiqueHighHeelRedDollShoes, a track off their new album, and a cover of Belle & Sebastion's Fox in the Snow.

Now go buy it now! It even contains a video of them playing My Orphanage live!

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Rasputina remixes
My Fever Broke is Rasputina's vocals and sounds with a techno-dance-club style remix. The mixes are very well done and definately aren't just cheesy conversions. Read more
