Okay I havent actually bought this album, but from what I've listened to on Amazon, it sounds okay. I admit it, she cant sing but the songs are fun. She's presenting now on CBBC under her real name of Anna Kumble, and she's a good presenter. I dont know what all the bad reviews are about.

Well I can give a short warning for starters...Lolly can't sing... But who cares!? The melodies are what make the album as great as it is.. In this sort of music style it doesn't really matter if you can sing or not...It's just fun to listen to these positive melodies that have no actual message...They are just fun! The karaoke versions are a brilliant idea!

OK, OK, she can't sing, and her music might be annoying after a while. But I think that those 1-star ratings are a bit exagerated. There are some really bad tracks here (especially track 2) ; however some tracks aren't that bad. Of course it's far to be my favourite album. But it's not horrible. Tracks 1, 4, 5, 9, and 10 are actually OK! The others are so-so or even bad, but anyway I give 3 stars to this CD because there is much, MUCH worse than this. This CD would have been better if it included the Almighty Remix of "Viva La Radio" which is an excellent remix!! (You can find on the "Viva La Radio" single.)
So you want to know if it's recommended or not? If you liked "Viva La Radio" then yes, if not, then avoid it. It depends of you.

Hey why is everyone slating Lolly and just saying she is shocking. Okay so it's not the best album I've ever heard, but it's certainly not the worst. The fast paced pop songs such as Viva la Radio may get annoying after listening to it a few times, but thats what happens with most pop songs. However the slower songs such as Big Boys Don't Cry really show that this girl has got talent. She actually manages to reach the high notes which is more than can be said for some bands and artists. Almost all pop bands don't write their songs anyway so why are Steps that much better? At least Lolly is original! So I'm not saying go out and buy this album. But compared to all the other pop **** we have around nowadays, this CD is not actually that bad! My favourite song is Big Boys Don't Cry.

This is just another attempt for the Brits to try to invade the US pop market with a solo girl. If you want a British solo act then go with Billie unlike lolly she can actually sing. Also this album is a waste of perfectly good cd's. The only good pop exports from the UK are STEPS, Billie, S Club 7, and 5ive. Try these artists and don't waste you hard earned dollars on this CD.

Okay I only have good things to say about this CD. 1. It makes a great coster. 2. It makes a good reflective surface to take with you when you go camping. 3. It makes a great frisbee. Okay now for a track by track reveiw. 1. Viva La Radio-Yeah maybe all of the UK will turn thier radios off after they here this crap. 2. Mickey- Wow I wish I could sing this song. Oh wait I can and a lot better then you. 3. Big Boys Don't Cry- Unless they hear this track. 4. Kiss Kiss Boom Boom- LOL holy crap what the heck is this crap. 5. Dance In The Rain- Yeah and never come back inside you crazy untalented Brit. 6. Can You Keep A Secret- Yeah what is it that you can't sing? Well I hate to tell you the world already knows. 7. Internet Love- Yeah too bad that when he found out who you were he blocked all your messages and E-Mails. 8. Happy- Yeah the album is almost over that makes me happy too. 9. Telephone Boy- What Lolly? Oh sorry um he moved away last week maybe you can try again in like another lifetime. 10. Do You Feel Like I Feel- Yeah we are all happy that there are no more tracks on the darn album. WOW that was fun.

I cannot find the words to say how i feel about this C.D... It's that bad. Lolly cannot sing at all just whine. You may think that big boys don't cry but i guarantee you they will when they hear this ugly C.D. The music is childish, stupid and the lyrics are horrendous. One of the songs goes like "Oh mickey your so fine, you blow my mind..." and some other rubbish. I recommend that you don't buy this C.D EVER! (You'll thank me later!) Save your money for buying an album by a talented singer like Joe or Avant. Much love to you if you can bear the first 3 seconds of Lolly's pathetic "MY FIRST ALBUM"! I'm not that patient!

It all depends on your interpretation,
By Pete (Sheffield, UK) - See all my reviews

This album does on the outside appear to be bland, trashy pop with uninspired lyrics and poor singing. But, there is more to the music than this. I understand that most people will not like it, and will in fact hate it mercilessly.. but I'll give my reasoning.. There is something about the lyrics which has a deeper symbolic meaning. Firstly, as already mentioned the melody in the tracks is generally good, uplifting and all that, so thats a good thing. In "Telephone Boy" there is a progressive theme of teen-angst against technology and quite mocks the position we are in (our dependence on technology). "Viva La Radio" is a look at a young star's prospective dreams of a lifestyle as a DJ, the song indicating an inevitability "I Love It, I Love it" that it is what she will become. In other tracks, "Internet Love" the addictiveness of both the internet and chat-rooms is explored. "Cyberspace" is a literal, physical universe according to this track. Anyway enough waffling, all of Steps soungs sound the same, S-Club are inconsistent and no other 90's cheese comes close to experimenting with emotion and melody in totally innocent overtones. There is more here, although you won't agree.
