It's not pop.. it's not r&b.. it's not dance.., August 15, 2000
This review is from: My First Love (Audio CD)
.. it's Takako! As the first member of the incredibly popular girl group SPEED to break out on her own, I must admit I enjoyed this single so much I went out and bought her first album "First Wing." Making a huge change from Hitoe's funky hip hop, Eriko's rippin rock tunes and Hiro's dancable pop, Takako presants to us a slow, soft and lovely song. Many people in the past have complained that her vocals aren't as strong as the other former SPEED members which is indeed true. But this is hardly something to discourage you from buying and taking a chance to hear her work. Keep in mind her voice is quiet and soft.. and although not strong and powerful, it's definatly not out of tune in the least bit or ear wrecking. I highly HIGHLY suggest taking a chance with this single: first pressing comes with a photo book and A3 size poster. Also.. if possible I would also reccomend watching the lovely music video for this as well as checking out her full album "First Wing."

BUY THIS CD!!, September 21, 1999

My friend brought this CD back from Japan and once I heard it I loved it. She had only heard one of the songs from a TV commercial and bought it right away. She showed it to me and I instantly fell in love with it. I borrowed it all the time from her which made her mad. I finally got my own and listen to it all the time.

Takako's Best Song, April 24, 2001
A Kid's Review
This review is from: My First Love (Audio CD)
When I Heard "My First Love" From Some Website I Fell In Love With It Instantly And Well Time Digressed And I Bought It And I Must Say That It's A Slickly Produced Song And Single. 1.My First Love - The Song Is Just So Good; I Like The Guitar Solo In The Middle And RK's Background Vocals Throughout The Song. 2.Dry City - Since J-POP Has It's Own Kind Of Instrumentations, The Only Thing I Can Say Is That This Song Is A Kind Of Mildly Hip-Hop Instrumentationed Song With A Harmonica Thrown In, Very Good But Not The Best B-Side From The Single 3.Everyoe I'll Meet Soon - Slow Song Like My First Love, And The Best B-Side From The Album 4.My First Love (Piano Version) - Very Soothing Piano Version Of The Title Track That Is Edited; I Must Say That I Like How "EIMS" Sort Of Joins This Track Together Using The Beat 5.My First Love (Instrumental) - When I Was Thinking Instrumental I Was Thinking That RK Was Background And That He Would Be In This But I Guess He Was In The Foreground, So Only The Backup SIngers Were Included In This Instrumental As Stated By Someone Else This Comes With A 12 Page Booklet And The First Pressings Come With A Poster Too, Although I Never Got A Poster With Mine So I Guess Mine Wasn't A First Pressing. So If You Would Like To Get Into J-POP Try This Single Out, You Won't Be Dissapointed At All.

Takako... the sweet and quiet one..., August 23, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: My First Love (Audio CD)
this single is just like her personality.. sweet and quiet. (;Þ) its a change from the other Speed members (Hiroko, Hitoe and Eriko's music) but in my opinion, its just as good as their songs, if not more. Well, im probably bias.. i mean, Takako is my favorite Speed member. =) But really, this single is great. Its something you would want to listen while thinking in peace or when you're in a romantic mood or something. If i could give it a 10, i would.
