5.0 out of 5 stars Best bath book
My daughter has loved hearing this book while in the bath since one month of age. Her dad reads it to her and tells her things about the objects or stories. She has several other bath books, but this is by far her favorite.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware, it is PVC!
All of the DK baby bath books are made from phthalates, yes, PVC which is dangerous, toxic, and carcinogenic. I am shocked to find this out when I called to the publisher. My son loved this book and chewed on as all the babies do...

DK Publishing states that their books are not made from PVC and do not include phthalates. Phthalates are excluded from all children's products by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, and DK Publishing's products are manufactured to the highest safety standards.

I bought this for my son, though a bit late, at 17 months. Now, I can hardly get him out of the bath at night! He is having so much fun pointing at what he recognizes and we learn 1-2 words from the book every day!! Highly recommend this book for any new parent/s!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Book!, November 28, 2008

I really love these plastic puffy books because they're soft yet don't get soggy or tear. I bought this book mainly for that reason when my daughter was about 6 months old. Now however, she is 18 months and it is one of her very favorite books. I love that it shows so many different items with the names of each underneath. I think it really helped to improve her vocabulary because she says well over 50 words, which is pretty rare for a child her age, and I really think part of the credit is due to this book, since many of her most frequent words are in here. Like 'door', 'bath', 'car', 'cheese', etc . . . The best thing is, not only can she say the words, but she uses them in context because she sees the associations with the pictures. DK is awesome!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great way to teach first words, January 6, 2008
This review is from: My First Word Bath Book (My First series) (Bath Book)
Our 18 month old had already learned many words by the time this book arrived. However, it's only enhanced his ability to pick up new words through repetition. He loves picture books and so it's great to have one for the bath too. The pictures are wonderful. A must have for toddlers learning new words.

Cute product- kinda bothered by the sharp seams around the edge of the book though.

My 15-mo-old son cannot get enough of this book. During the day he'll wonder into the bathroom, find it and sit on the floor looking at the bright crisp images. At bath time he loves to play the pointing game: he points and I tell him what that is and tell him a little about it. Then I ask him to find something on the page. He squeals with delight.

5.0 out of 5 stars great book at 11 months and beyond, February 19, 2007
This review is from: My First Word Bath Book (My First series) (Bath Book)
At around 11 months old, our babies started taking an interest in holding and looking at picture books by themselves. This was ideal because it's a plastic bath book, and so they could chew on the pages and look at the pictures. By age 22 months, they were able to recognize and say all the words. I would say this book is perfect for ages 12 months to 22 months. Also recommended are the other DK Publishing bath books in the "my first series".
