I was excited to find the Paint with water books for my daughter (4). I sat down to paint a page with her and found them to be AWFUL! The paint patterns look like they will give bright colors. Well, the only way to get them to blend was to constantly rub at them with the very wet brush. Then I found that the blending worked better on the backside of the paper when it soaked through. I am totally diasppointed with this book. I don't recommend it.

Not thrilled with product. The color dyes are in bold dots and lines, which my daughter commented "look mommy, Winnie has stripes" and didn't understand why we would color something already colored. Painting with water worked insofar as blending if we used ALOT of water. Otherwise it was pretty much stripes or dots with a clear semi painted background. Very different from the paint by water from when I was little. Pictures in coloring book were bold and clear.

This product is one of the worst products I have ever bought for my daughter. I had paint with water books when I was small...and they worked. This does not. You put water on the picture...and nothing happens. I actually came to amazon to look for directions - because I figured I MUST be doing something wrong. The book doesn't make sense - you put water on the picture and nothing happens. There are dots and stripes. If you put water on them...nothing happens. Some of the other reviews said if you use A LOT of water it works. I found that if you use to much water...the paper starts tearing apart. A complete waste of money.

My daughter loves painting with this book. All of her favorite characters are in it.

My daughter has had a lot of fun painting in this book. She loves these characters.
