This collection of song fom the Motion Picture,"My Girl" is one of the best compalations around. Even if you haven't seen the film, songs like "My Girl", by the Temptations, "Hot fun in the summertime" and "I only have eyes for you" will make you long for the summer. The only downer is track 12, the "My Girl(Theme)", which, if you have seen the film, forces you to remember the sadder moments. But its all part of the experience isn't it??!

This was one of the first CD's I purchased and it really did change my life. Starting with 'My girl' (who doesn't like that song?) and including songs like 'I only have eyes for you' and 'If you don't know me by know' which are classics you'll love. Can't forget the 'Wedding bell blues' that invites you to walk into Vada's bedroom and look through her records.

This CD is a masterpiece!

This CD has a lot of great oldies on it. "Doo-wah-ditty-ditty" "Good Loving" "Bad Moon Rising" and who can forget "My Girl". Overall, this CD makes the cut, but I must take off a star for putting on "I Only Have Eyes for You" and "If You Don't Know Me By Now".

You will LOVE this soundtrack, if not for the fact that is was the perfect accompaniment for the sweet and memorable film, but because it includes all the really great tunes during this era.

You'll find it all here, Do Wah Diddy, More Today Than Yesterday, Good Lovin', Wedding Bell Blues, My Girl, I Only Have Eyes for You and so much more. Buy it for a sweet trip down musical memory lane!

i am a straight up obscure indie rock chick, but i will ALWAYS love this cd. it was the first tape of anything my parents ever bought for me(which came along with a new cassette player on christmas morning when i was eight). every song on the album is classic and oh-so-good. a perfectly put together piece of music history.

When i saw this film,I was working for the Eric Theater in Westmont New Jersey,the last of the twin theaters anywhere around.When i saw it Linda Wood who was the manager never told me that Mccauley Caukin dies and I must tell you I was never so distraught in a movie as I was with this one,but as time went on I discovered that this film was just a classic it had everything you could want in a film, laughter,Sadness,thought provoking and yes even one of the great soundtracks.I dont think you could make a soundtrack like this today as the cost would be to much.This film also did something that no other could have did it evaporated the thought of Jaime lee Curtis as laurie Strode from halloween and let audiences see her in a new light.This is a just a great experience film,the sequel was not in the same class.But the first one brought back all kinds of memories of growing up from seeing teachers in the neighborhood that you had in school to riding your bike and swinging on a tire swing at the lake.This film blows away anything out there today.

The movie My Girl is one of my favorites. It seems nowadays, people watch movies for humor and some clever lines. I see more than that, I don't just see entertainment, I see purity, I see heart, I see a great script that in the processes probably took a huge budget or low depending on the film, and so much of hard work behind the scenes. Some people, not all, don't realize the effort in a good film. Takes months of casting, finding a good director, good actors and actresses, takes animators , takes CGI artists if needed.

In the case of My Girl, I was disappointed with this cd. Only because they didn't have the full score on CD. I mean the other songs are ok, but I think what made this film a success was it's music score. I was happy to see at least one theme on there, so good for the creators. I tried to find the music sheet to Vada's Theme by James Newton Howard, still no luck, my friend was gonna teach me to play this song on the piano because I'm so inspired by it, if anybody knows where I can get the music sheet that would be great. Also, if anybody can tell me why they didn't put the whole score on the soundtrack. It's a mystery to me, it's so lovely and deep and memorizing!! The movie and score are whats very beautiful and enchanting, the story is too. The movie itself makes up a story, a story that reminds us everyday that life goes on, and that death does not, find your true friends and never let go of them!!!

If you love the oldies this is a perfect mix of oldies love songs. I wasn't a big fan of the movie but the music is great.

This is my favorite film.The first time I saw,My Girl,I didn't like it that much.But then,I watched it again,I liked it.I mostly cry at the end, when Thomas J. dies.I liked My Girl 2 also.At least it wasn't sad.You must see this film.
