I shut it off after 15 minutes.

Overall movie was somewhat good but it misleads the audience too much that in the end, you don't feel anything, not much connection with the characters.

First, let me say that I agree with the other reviewers to date--this is a clean romantic comedy.

As I got into the movie, I found myself getting upset with Jesse for dating 2 guys at the same time. More so when they both declared their love for her. I felt they deserved the truth & that she should have made a decision before it got to that point (both declaring their love). Easy to do, right? Well...

There were things I liked about Ethan better than Troy, & the same goes for Troy. There were times when I thought I knew who she should pick, then Ethan or Troy would do or say something sweet that would change my mind. They both have qualities that would make most women happy. (Gee, I wonder why she couldn't make up her mind.)

For me, there were a few emotional moments (okay, so I'm a softy), & the support she got from her family was great, especially her brother. He encouraged her to tell the truth, without judging her.

The closer I got to the end of the movie, the more torn I was as to who she should pick. The thought of breaking the heart of either Ethan or Troy didn't set too well. Then, when she picked the guy she wanted, well, I just didn't know how to feel about that. I was happy for him, but cried for the other guy. WOW, talk about confusing emotions! Can't help it though--if someone cries, I'm definitely gonna cry.

Now, to understand why she picked who she did, you REALLY have to watch the rest of the movie. It's really in the last few minutes of the movie that we, as well as the unchosen guy, get an explanation of why Jesse did what she did--why she chose who she chose.

Believe it or not, but it does have a happy ending. An ending that I didn't expect.

So, if you like good, clean romantic comedies, with a few surprises, and of course, a happy ending, then this is the movie for you.

Seriously, this is a fabulous movie, even if they didn't have millions of dollars for production. If you like clean romantic comedies, this movie is for you! Love it!

It is difficult to review this movie without the possibility of giving something away, but I will try my best to not be too specific in the things I reveal.

Midway into this movie, I found myself thinking, "There's no way this movie can have a good ending." Jessi was either going to break one heart or the other, and I didn't want that to happen. I found the characters engaging and found myself rooting for both Ethan and Troy. Daryn Tufts has done an excellent job helping me to identify with Jessi's dilemma.

In the end, I found Tufts' solution to the problem to be creative - if not a wee bit cheap, but still, it works.

This is a great movie and I recommend it. It made me feel like I was flying.

"My Girlfriend's Boyfriend" is just what a romantic comedy should be: cute, romantic, and funny. It's also incredibly clean. The writer/director didn't rely on any gross-out or sex humor; instead, the story was filled with genuinely funny moments. Especially watch for the gum commercial--I laughed out loud repeatedly (and am chuckling again as I think about it)! This isn't your predictable chick flick; sure, you can probably guess who will end up together, but the route the movie took from point A to point B wasn't at all what I expected. I'm always on the lookout for movies I can recommend without reservation, and this is definitely one. Highly recommended!

Okay. A lot of reviewers didn't get this movie. There were complaints about the main character's fundamental dishonesty in dating two guys. And the ending, which was supposed to clarify everything, actually confused people.

Well, if you were one of the perplexed, I sympathize with you. I hate investing an hour and a half into a film, only to go, "huh?" at the end. So I'm going to spoil it and tell you that the main character was not, in fact, dating two guys. One guy -- Ethan -- was real. The other one, Troy, was not. Troy was a character that Ethan wrote. His relationship with the girl mirrored that of Ethan, except he was more successful, more suave, more handsome... He was a fictional, "perfected" version of Ethan. And the dual "dating" experiences were just reality and fiction, running side by side. So chill, all you people. This isn't a justification for duplicity or infidelity. It's just some director trying to be unique.

Having said that --- This movie lost stars because the plot was too misleading. Consequently, I spent too much time and energy being disgusted with the main character. Not until the last five minutes was I given a reason to like her. By then, it was too late. I couldn't bring myself to care anymore. So MEH.

Looking for an entertaining, well-acted romantic comedy? Watch this one.

Too often lately romantic comedies seem to rely on gross humor and cruelty masquerading as humor. No one kidnaps anyone else in the plot of this---no one deliberately tries to destroy someone else's life or livelihood. Watching good people meet and fall in love is refreshing. The plot device, while not something completely new, provides enough twist that the plotline isn't obvious. Most important, the obstacles to romance are true to life.

Director and writer Daryn Tufts created a well-paced picture that never drags. Actors Alyssa Milano and Christopher Gorham offer believable and, at times, touching performances, and Michael Landes is smooth as Troy. A superb supporting cast makes this film.

Tufts employs great characterization over outlandishly plotted storytelling, and this picture enchants for that reason. No car chases or unbelievable premises here.

I'm only sorry I wasn't afforded an opportunity to watch this in a theater.
