This book, when filled out by "Grandma", will be a treasure. I have just started filling mine in and it is taking me to places I had not thought about for years. This will contain information my own children don't know about me. Give yourself a lot of time to do this, there are picture pages for which I will have to have copies made, etc. I might not want to give it away right after it is complete. I will want to enjoy it myself.

A collection of questions and spaces for photos that act as a useful prompt for grandparents to record all those things that a grandchild might wonder about later in life.
Nicely presented, but I worry about the paper sleeve over the hardcover getting torn. Also, it would be nice to provide pockets for photos rather than just spaces.
The questions are good and far ranging however some are USA-specific, for example: 'who was president...'.
All in all a worthwhile purchase.

I have purchased many of these books (Grandfather Remembers: Memories for My Grandchild, For My Grandchild: A Grandmother's Gift of Memory (AARP), Grandmother Remembers: A Written Heirloom for My Grandchild, A Grandparent's Legacy: Your Life Story in Your Own Words, Memories for My Grandchild, A Grandparent's Book, Grandparents' Memory Book: Did You Really Walk Five Miles to School?) because it's impossible to tell from reviews which ones will be good and the "Look Inside" is often unavailable or unhelpful. I will look at all of them and keep the one I like or make my own, depending on the results.

Third Review of the bunch:
This is actually the worst book of the bunch. The styling is fun and retro, but the questions are too broad. For example, it might ask "Tell me about school" and give a half of a page for writing, whereas the other books will devote a whole section (several pages) to this. The main difference with this book is that it has a lot of spot for photos which none of the other books so far have really had. So, if you want a more photo, less text book, this is the one for you.

This is a well thought out book, which draws out answers from anyone who wants to share their history with their grandchildren but doesn't really know where to start. It sparks memories and has such a friendly format, both for the writer and the reader. We bought both of them-the one for Grandmas as well as the one for Grandpas-both very good.

My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer approximately 4 months before I became pregnant. This book was such a gift. My mother-in-law found it and visited my mother and filled it out with her as a gift to me. My mother passed away when I was 7 months pregnant and my mother-in-law gave me the completed book at my baby shower.

Though my son won't meet my mother, he can read about her. The book was a wonderful way for me to share my mother with my son. What love he will fill to have a book about one grandmother written by his other grandmother.

I bought this book for my mom for Mother's Day. It is a prefect fit for my family since it only devotes 4 pages to the grandpa (my parents are divorced) and can be ignored or filled out briefly. I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this book to find one that did not devote to many pages/questions to grandpa. This book is about grandma's memories and I believe there is a matching book for grandpa's memories if the grandparent's are divorced or still together.

I bought this book for my mom to fill out for my son. She LOVED it! She went to town looking through old photos and going down memory lane. I'm so glad I chose this book. For 10 bucks, you can't beat it.

Nonna is not the most elaborate woman but this book allowed her to share stories of her life in her own words. This book will be treasured within our family. The questions are detailed but not so exact that it made them difficult to answer. Good book we got the grandfather one as well.

My daughter's grandmother was so pleased when we gave her this book. It is cute and has lots of great questions and space for writing!

Wonderful book, I can't wait to fill it in. Received it within days of ordering it. Very satisfied.
