Delightful memoir,
By A Customer
This review is from: My Grandfather, Thornton W. Burgess (Hardcover)
This delightful memoir of a very popular Depression-era children's author, Thornton Burgess, heightened my appreciation for the work he and illustrator, Harrison Cady did so profusely for thirty years. The author's personal insights into the human-ness of the family adds credibility and sensitivity to the book. Personal photos enhanced the read, appearing to be candids from family albums. Thanks, Mrs. Meigs, for reminding us of your grandfather's appreciation for the wonders of nature, and it's connection to divine creation.
