Riccardo Francaviglia and Margherita Sgarlata are Sicilian from Catania, just under the fearful and magical Mt Etna. Riccardo and Margherita write their own stories together, then Ricardo draws and Margherita colours the drawings. They have published several books, and their illustrations have won awards in Italy. They also work as art teachers and puppeteers, and on weekends, scoutmasters.
This book is an improbable meetingbetween a little boy and his caveman forebear. It's fun to show children that they may not be totally different from grandparents, etc. and on back. It may lead to some interesting conversations between the generations about what lives and activities were like "back then". And you know, we elders like nothing better that to remember our youth.
