5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent R&B album, November 9, 2006
This review is from: My Heart Belongs to You (Audio CD)
As a consignor of rare & little heard R&B albums, I decided to give this CD a listen and it was well worth the money. With the production of Chucky Thompson this was without doubt a smooth R&B CD that doesn't have any skipped track moments. Frankie voice is a mixture of falsetto & tenor and he shines on all tracks. In particular tracks six through eight is one of the best slow jam trilogy's I've heard all year. If memory serves me correctly track six Dear Love was his lead single which was written by Daron Jones (112). Track seven Think Of You is a heartfelt ballad as is track eight All I Do. If you have a chance pick this CD up, as Frankie is another R&B vocalist whose star never had a chance to shine.

Man this album is hittin. Like all others have mentioned, you can play this album from beginning to end and enjoy every single track. But I have to put my favorite track on "I Have Love". It really stands out with the acoustic guitar and that funky base line. Frankie doesn't let the music overshadow him either. He compliments his music with his stacked harmony and smooth vocal arrangement. But overall, I enjoy his whole album. I just hope that word of mouth can put this fellow on the map. Because he's a talented individual. And whoever produced Frankie's tracks, really focused on his voice and complimented it very well. What more can I say. This album is a getter and a keeper. It's all to the good ya'll. Church

5.0 out of 5 stars Still A Favorite After Five Years, October 21, 2002
This review is from: My Heart Belongs to You (Audio CD)
I've loved this CD since I got it in '97. I find it hard to believe it didn't receive more play than it did, especially considering the fact that 112, Faith Evans, and Mary J. Blige wrote most of the album. Light the fireplace, pop the cork, and let Frankie do the rest!!!

This is by far one of the best cd's in my collection! Frankie's sound is so silky, his voice so clear and sweet. It sounds like he just lets his voice flow and the result is smooth and soulful. Even the up-tempo songs are relaxing. This cd is timeless. I only wish he would have had better promotion. I have purchased this cd about 7 or 8 times and it either gets stolen or I just give it as a gift. You can't find it now which is a shame because everybody who borrows it from me wants a copy! Can somebody give him another record deal because I would love to hear from him again!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Who is FRANKIE??!!! What do you mean WHO is Frankie??!!, September 2, 2001

This is one of the BEST most slept on R&B albums I have had in a long time. I have replaced this album 5 times. It has been lost, stolen, borrowed and misplaced repeatedly. This is a brother with a soulful voice. He only released one single,(If I Had You) - which you can sometimes till order from the record stores - and he just was not promoted. Unfortunately his album is out of print. I only wish he would return to the music scene and do a follow up album. Definately a good purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars FRANKIE put you in that mood. I miss that in music now a day, February 8, 2007
This review is from: My Heart Belongs to You (Audio CD)
I had this tape when I was a young teenager. Played it over and over again thinking I was inlove with whatever guy for the moment. FRANKIE had me feeling I was in LOVE. I saw the video "IF I HAD YOU" the other day. I tried to see if i could burn the song but results turn out to fail me.... I rememeber when productions of Chucky Thompson anything that he touched I always loved and listened to. FRANKIE had that sexy sound to his voice. Now I can order the CD from here. Move out the way Usher and all other RnB acts cause FRANKIE is back in my LIFE. It was a EXCELLENT cd to put you in that mood. I miss that in music now a day.

I purchased this CD in 97' and I must say, this is my favorite album of the last ten years. I used to purchase it as a gift for every wedding I attended. I HATE how this brotha was snooze on. This is R&B at it's truest form!! I misplaced this CD 2 years ago but recently found it. It's been a love reunion since! Frankie, I hope you read these reviews and truly feel validated!! You blessed the world! Do it again and this time have the right team around you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite Love Songs!, August 12, 2005

This is a great cd. I love R&B (new and old) and I love this cd! I don't know who promoted Frankie's album but they did not do a good job. The first time I heard this cd was March 1998. A friend of mine gave me a copy and told me to pop it in the cd player. After I listening to the copied version I ran to get the original but it was no where to be found and the store clerks had never heard of him. I even copied it on a cassette so that I could always have it, but guess what...my cassette tape popped! I'm buying this cd right now. Frankie if your out there, PLEASE DROP ANOTHER ALBUM!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Raw Talent, January 8, 2005

This review is from: My Heart Belongs to You (Audio CD)
I first caught wind of this awesome singer while browsing the bargain bin at a used CD store in 2000. Now why in the world it was in the bargain bin is way beyond me. I have never played a CD as much as I have played this one. I am truly amazed at why this man has never blown up on the music scene. From beginning to end his music is extremely entertaining and relaxing. I would highly suggest that anyone who has not listened to this CD to take a chance and be as pleasantly surprised as I was when I first listened to it.

I've had Frankie's joint since it dropped in 1997. Still listen to it now. I heard them play Frankie once on a local station in Baltimore, but that was it. What is wrong with these record companies? Frankie's album could've been big had it been promoted correctly. I've tried to turn many heads onto this CD. I wish he would drop another joint now...he would have a chance to blow up! Some people compare him to Musiq, but I don't think they sound alike. Besides the musicianship, the album had good songwriting(Cecil Ward, who co-wrote Mary J. Blige's Beautiful Ones) and cameos(Faith Evans, Mary J. Blige, 112). Most new artists can't pull that off on a debut(especially nowadays). I definitely rate this as a classic.
