The graphics with this game are really great! You can choose the color of the horse, and the game gives you a few basic colors and patterns. You can also choose what you look like from a few different pre-made models. Grooming the horse is pretty simple and straight forward. The game gives you an option to free ride and you are taken to an outdoor ring that is set up with a few jumps to aid you in practicing. You are also given a couple different tutorials to learn the basics while collecting stars that will earn you rewards. The more stars you collect, the more rewards you receive. A personal trainer will guide you through each practice session and she will coach you as you complete each course.

What I found nice about this game is that the horse will automatically jump the oxford if going at the proper speed. If you are riding below a canter, the horse will balk at the jump. There are ground markings that will guide you around as you ride through the courses.

If you love to ride and/or are a horse lover, then I'm sure you will get a lot of enjoyment from this game. I've only had this game for a day or so, and I can see already it's going to be addicting!

One of the things I was very impressed with when I bought this game was by the graphics. My computer isn't very high-tech, but this game worked near-perfectly on it.
As far as the game itself goes, there isn't a storyline, and also, you don't get to take care of your horse very much(save for some 'grooming'). Also, all you get to do is showjumping, no other disciplines, which would've made this game better.
You can chose to compete in showjumping events, and the more you win, the higher your ranking and the more difficult the courses. I enjoyed the variety of the courses a lot, and you can also play bonus matches, where you collect pink stars that give you a time bonus. Eventually, you get to Elite level and compete in the Skyline Finals. I only managed to get silver, so I don't know what happens if you get gold.
You get to customize the color of your horse's coat, mane and tail, and there was no shortage of options. You also get to chose your rider out of(I think) six riders. However, the more games you play and win, the more clothes/saddles/boots/jackets etc, you unlock.
Also in this game were fun minigames, such as Memory Lane, where you memorise a sequence of objects. There were also riding workshops, and a free ride where you could freely roam around and jump huge fences. You can also unlock items from these workshops and minigames.
I would definetly reccommend this game, although if you want to learn about, and take care of your horse this isn't the game for you. Overall this game is very good.

The game is a lot of fun, but there is one problem. I question the makers of the game and how much testing they did with the game system on Windows Vista. The game does not work well on Vista, it has graphic issues and abruptly stops working for no reason. Hope this helps people.

I found this game to very fun and realistic. The controls are easy to learn and yet have a mild difficulty to keep you interested and wanting to try harder - just as in real jumper/dressage training. The games are focused more for kids but as an adult I found them fun and at times very challenging. If you love riding and horses then you will love this game. Also I have Vista on my PC and it has worked just fine with that operating system.

This game was really fun to play and has great graphics and lots of un-lockable content. The place that this game falls short in however is that it was defiantly made for a younger audience. The mini games are okay but give a feel like you are playing a child's game.
But even with the problem of it be targeted for a younger audience, this game was defiantly worth buying and has many levels for advancement for longer play time. Great Game.

pick your own outfit, and pick your own horse! You can
free ride, show jump,and you can ride to earn points!
If you earn enough points you can un lock new clothes,
saddles, boots, and hats! My Horse and Me is a great
program for kids. You can get it for Wii, Nintendo
DS, and windows! It is a very fun program.

The game only plays so far and then it shows a message and quits on certain shows. I have email ATARI three times and they keep losing my email or the ticket. I bought this game 6 months ago and I am still trying to get a fix from Atari and sent them the diagnostics three times now and never get a response. A company that doesn't seem to care about it's consumers and I even went on their web site for help and others were just as frustrated as me. The game is fun when it plays but the company doesn't give any tech support. I will never buy another Atari games.

Looks like a fun game, but the problem is Windows Vista will not play it, installed, uninstalled, reinstalled over and over again. Nothing! So don't waste time if you have Vista, there are no patches as of yet, and no one has the answers. All I see from others is this doesn't work on Vista. If you have XP have fun!

I had fun with this game, but I beat it the second day I had it. It's way too easy and just not long enough.

I expected much more from this game after reading the description box and seeing its cover.
The graphics are very nice. Although it seemed interesting at the beginning, it gets boring quite fast.
The horse jumps on its own - that's something I would have liked to do myself.
I wish it had more options, like free riding, cross-country, race and so on...
I feel this game is very suitable for younger children, maybe between 8-12 years old.
