Twice Bitten contains the first two stories in the start of Deliah Devlin's Immortal Knight series. Welcome to a world filled with danger, excitement, and some very sexy vampires who give a whole new meaning to the term "things that go bump in the night."

In the first story, All Hallow's Heartbreaker, we meet Emmy Harris wearing a too tight Halloween costume and about to fall into trouble at a Halloween party. Chatty, and funny, Emmy is saved from a Master Vampire by the mysterious Dylan O'hara, who also turns out to be a creature of the night. Dylan's vow to protect her isn't so easy when she discovers his true idenity. Dylan's and Emmy's encounters are hot, sexy, and more than enough to heat the blood of any reading living or otherwise. The story is also a journey about accepting yourself and being accepted.

In Love Bites we meet Dylan's friend, and fellow vampire, Quentin Albemarle. Don't let the name fool you, Quentin is a bad boy with a brain. He barely meets police woman and member of a special vampire unit Darcy Henry before the innuendos sparks, and clothes are flying. The team invites Quentin to join them and help them gain access to the "underground" vampire world. Darcy and Quentin's relationship becomes even more complicated when she realizes she has feeling for her long-time partner Joe while tracking a dangerous killer.

Both stories are fun, and so sexy enough to make the dead sit up and take notice! For the rest of us, do not read unless you have someone around to provide some serious necking afterwards! Both the heroines are fiesty and fun and the heros are, well, to die for! This one sits on my keepershelf!

Dylan never lets anyone get to close. He feeds because he needs to...but that all changes when he meets Emmy. Emmy is on the verge of innocent; she has experience just not the kind that makes someone go weak in the knees. Dylan makes Emmy weak in the knees and many other places....

Quentin likes women. He has never had trouble convincing a member of the opposite sex to play with him...women wanted him. He meets Darcy...a cop who killed vampires....and she wanted him. The trouble was making sure it wasn't just a one night stand. Enter Joe Garcia...Darcy's partner and the man in love with her and you have an interesting threesome to contend with.

Twice Bitten is a must read....just make sure your significant other is around to keep you entertained after. This book has not left my night stand since I purchased it.

I love world Delilah has created in her My Immortal Knights series and this story is no different. If you love vampires and enjoy reading a unique world with humor, this is a must read.

After reading another series from Ms. Devlin I craved more so I decided to dive into her Immortal Knight series. Twice Bitten starts off w/the story of Dylan and Emmy. I have to admit that Emmy just plain got on my nerves. The constant babble was irritating. The story did get better but definately had a rocky start for me.

On the other hand, I found Love Bites exciting from start to finish! The chemistry between Quentin and Darcy was electric. The love triangle w/her partner Joe was fantastic. I felt more for Quentin's character development. The way he vowed to always love Darcy even as she ages made me weak in the knees <sigh>.

I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I am curious as to what ever happened to Darcy and how she took on her next role in life (don't want to spoil it for others by mentioning it). I hope the next installment makes mention of it. I'd love to know how Quentin made out.

This is her first two books of the Immortal Knights. Love the story and after reading couldn't wait for the next two to come in.. Like that they came in as one book so you can go from one to the next and not forget what was going on. I read the back cover on this one to see if it was something I wanted to read and just by reading the first two lines was hooked.. what I thought was really great was the main person was not some skinny girl that you can't relate too. Thanks someone finally put in someone that is real and not a model lol...

I like a good erotica book, but this one was a bad one. From the very fisrt page I thought the female lead was nothing short of dumb. She has a man trying to take advantage of her and the only thing she does is babbling! Oh, and then she runs off to bed with the man that has just saved her and she spents all the sex babbling and complainig that she doesn't know how to do it well as her ex boyfriend always said to her she wasn't so good at it. Can't think of a better way to take the mood off than talking about exes and how she is afraid of her orsgam.

I couldn't read much more of the book, when they attacked because they (the bad guys) want her because the main guy wants her... it was more than enough. There even wasn't a chracteritzation of the characters, they were like shades, and in the case of the female lead, a very dumb one.

I know this book has a lot of high ratings, but it didn't work for me. Not a book that I would recommend.
