4.0 out of 5 stars All country, all the time...
Listening to a Craig Morgan CD is like reading a pamphlet about country music: it's entertaining, it's enjoyable, and it's TRADITIONAL! In this day and age where every new artist almost MUST have a pop edge (either through their own will or that of the record label), Craig Morgan, through three albums, has remained true country.

3.0 out of 5 stars I really enjoy the an underated Craig Morgan
Craig Morgan's choice of songs is quite good and diverse. He especially is not afraid to include some excellet songs of a spiritual nature.

That said, MY KIND OF LIVIN' is enjoyable if only for that. However, there is also Morgan's superb vocals--he's no crooner, let's face it, but his voice is reminiscent of backyard barbeques and sunsets. His choice of outside material--the superb #1 hit (his first ever) "That's What I Love About Sundays", the quirky "Redneck Yacht Club", the touching "Cowboy and Clown," the rollickin "In My Neighborhood"--is admirable. There's something to say for his original tunes, as well--"I'm Country" and "Blame Me" (the latter featuring Brad Paisley and John Conlee) are anthems for country music, while the heartbreaking "That's When I'll Believe That You're Gone" is by far the album's standout track. Not that there're too many downers here...none, in fact, which is par for the course for Morgan.

MY KIND OF LIVIN' is yet another great country CD by this multi-talented artist. Songs of love, songs of heartache, songs of family, songs of God, songs of living--it's all here. Everything that country music is, you'll find on this album. That's because Craig Morgan IS country, to the core. Buy this album, and if you have any doubts currently, they will be put to rest.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, March 10, 2005
This review is from: My Kind of Livin (Audio CD)
This is a great record. I was first turned onto Craig from the song "Almost Home". This whole album however, is a must have. He keeps the Country in Country Music. Craig is an excellent songwriter and it shows through in the album. The opening track is his latest single. But there are songs for every type of person. SOme of the best are:

Lotta Man- this is a great song. Very powerful.
If you like that- a very good love ballad.
Rain For The Roses-all about rekindling what you have at home.
Blame Me-a great song about Country ft.Brad Paisley.
Cowboy and Clown- probably my favorite song on the album. A ballad of a cowboy and a clown and the friendship they have.

There are however some great up beat songs too.

I'm Country- song title says it all.
Redneck Yacht Club_what all us good ol' boys are out doing when we go to the lake for a weekend in the summer.
In My Neighborhood-just a swinging song about the great life of living like a redneck.
Ain't the way i want to go Out-rocking song

This is a great album, every song is worth giving a listen to. I think it is a must have to add to your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for ANY country cd collection!!!, October 10, 2005
This review is from: My Kind of Livin (Audio CD)
This new cd by Craig Morgan is one of the few new country albums I purchased this year, simply due to the fact that many albums that came out where just not that good. Craig Morgan really has a way that he sings that just makes you think, "Boy, can this guy sing or what?!" The album has that pure country sound that so many country albums seem to be lacking nowadays. There are tearjerkers, slow dance, and just some really fun songs wrapped up in this album. What follows are the song titles which I have rated 1-5, 5 being the best, but this is just one person's opinion, but I think you will find you agree with me after you hear these fabulous songs!!!

1. That's What I Love About Sunday (5)
2. I Got You (3)
3. That's When I'll Believe That You're Gone (4)
4. I'm Country (5)
5. Lotta Man (In That Little Boy) (4)
6. If You Like That (5)
7. Ain't The Way I Wanna Go Out (4)
8. Redneck Yacht Club (4)
9. Rain For the Roses (3)
10. Blame Me (5)
11. Cowboy And Clown (3)
12. In My Neighborhood (5)

5.0 out of 5 stars Thanks Blake Shelton! Love This CD!, September 24, 2008
This review is from: My Kind of Livin (Audio CD)
Love this CD. If it weren't for Blake Shelton, whom I love, I might not have ever discovered Craig Morgan. What a great voice and great music. I love his songs. I love that he's a family man and even more, a man of God. God has obviously blessed him with great talent to sing and write music.

September 27th Update.

The more I listen to this CD, the more I like it. I'd list all the songs I love, but then I'd be listing the whole CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars My Kind of Listenin', February 19, 2008
This review is from: My Kind of Livin (Audio CD)
I love the songs Craig Morgan sings. His voice sounds familiar, like my friends and neighbors. The lyrics bring to mind near and dear memories of small town and country life.

This album is great for singing along, dancing along and just having a good time. It spends a lot of time in MY CD Player. It is a good mix of happy, upbeat songs and gently touching lyrics. The songs are all keepers, to my mind. (I just know I know "Bob" in the Redneck Yacht Club!)

If I didn't know better, I'd say this album was made "in my neighborhood". It is just great...just like home! Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Country CD I've heard in a LONG Time, May 7, 2007
This review is from: My Kind of Livin (Audio CD)
I'll admit it I'm a "rare" country music fan; I like some, dislike most as most have turned into wannabe rock stars ... well ... my sister knows this band and when he came to my town, I got to meet the band, hang out with them and meet Craig.

Then came the concert and all I can say is WOW ... this man is amazing. his voice is awesome, his music is fresh ... and refreshing. He is a man with a country core ... values and faith and I now can't get enough of his music.

Listen to it and I mean REALLY LISTEN to it and you, too will be hooked.
