4.0 out of 5 stars Spiritism, Charles Chaplin and cinema, April 20, 2009
By
Dalton C. Rocha (Fortaleza, CE, Brazil.) - See all my reviews
I read this good book, here in Brazil.
Writen by one of the best actors, in all times, Charles Chaplin, this book talks about not just a life, but also about a time.
I read many surprises, in this book. One example: about spiritism, in 1920 decade, almost everyone famous in Hollywood, was very linked to spiritism.
How good is to live today, is the main lesson that I learn, when I read a good auto-biography, such as this.
About american support to eugenics/racism, there's almost nothing in this book. The author is almost ever sincere, about other persons, but sometimes, he fails about himself.
