The evolution of AF doesn't please me.,

The sound attempts to be slicker and more produced to fit the current schism of metal influence in their latest effort, and it doesn't suit me at all. The rawness that still exists in the song composition doesn't fit well in the mix, creating a mucky pool with an oily surface. I recommend looking to the newest Disaster's release for a more appropriately toned Miret vehicle. If you're a Stigma fan, or an AF die hard, there's nothing wrong with My Life My Way per se, I'm just not feeling it like I used to.

To be fair, you cant expect a band to sound like they did 25 years ago. That being said the album at least for the half part is very much punk in comparison to the last release as opposed to hardcore. I dont prefer this. Some of stigmas guitar work is classic fantastic. However the first 2 openers should have been alot stronger. The harder tracks on the album simply aren't as good as the softer ones. I dont prefer this. There are some great anthems here with some nice stigma elements to top them off. The drumming on the album is rubbish. Dont get me wrong, it's competent, fits and its tight. It just never adds anything, its more of an accompaniment. Theres no fills in places where there almsot should be. Theres parts where childrens snare tapping reminiscent of phil collins takes the place of brutal fills or even speed snare. it almost seems its intentionally done this way draw focus to the other elements of the band. Roger and Vinne. Agnostic front has not sold out. Not entirely. Think of somethings gotta give with some warriors elements and a few weaker modern NYHC tracks. The middle part of the album is the best. The sacrifice blends the HC and punk mix they're going for better than the rest. Long live AF Anthems and Integrity.
