4.0 out of 5 stars Evolution
To be fair, you cant expect a band to sound like they did 25 years ago. That being said the album at least for the half part is very much punk in comparison to the last release as opposed to hardcore. I dont prefer this.

Some of stigmas guitar work is classic fantastic. However the first 2 openers should have been alot stronger. The harder tracks on the album...

2.0 out of 5 stars The evolution of AF doesn't please me.
The sound attempts to be slicker and more produced to fit the current schism of metal influence in their latest effort, and it doesn't suit me at all. The rawness that still exists in the song composition doesn't fit well in the mix, creating a mucky pool with an oily surface. I recommend looking to the newest Disaster's release for a more appropriately toned Miret...

The rawness that still exists in the song composition doesn't fit well in the mix, creating a mucky pool with an oily surface. I recommend looking to the newest Disaster's release for a more appropriately toned Miret vehicle. If you're a Stigma fan, or an AF die hard, there's nothing wrong with My Life My Way per se, I'm just not feeling it like I used to.

Some of stigmas guitar work is classic fantastic. However the first 2 openers should have been alot stronger. The harder tracks on the album simply aren't as good as the softer ones. I dont prefer this.

There are some great anthems here with some nice stigma elements to top them off. The drumming on the album is rubbish. Dont get me wrong, it's competent, fits and its tight. It just never adds anything, its more of an accompaniment. Theres no fills in places where there almsot should be. Theres parts where childrens snare tapping reminiscent of phil collins takes the place of brutal fills or even speed snare. it almost seems its intentionally done this way draw focus to the other elements of the band. Roger and Vinne.

Agnostic front has not sold out. Not entirely. Think of somethings gotta give with some warriors elements and a few weaker modern NYHC tracks.

The middle part of the album is the best. The sacrifice blends the HC and punk mix they're going for better than the rest.

Long live AF Anthems and Integrity.

4.0 out of 5 stars godfathers of NYHC return !!!, March 22, 2011

this is a tight album. it completes the trifecta of albums since 2005's Another Voice. Pokey Mo brings new dynamics to the band. the overall message in this album is upbeat and positive. some songs are reminiscent of United Blood, Cause for alarm and one voice but with a modern twist to them; the music sounds a little more accessible with melodic background vocals and group chants. after doing this for 30 years, there's nothing bad you can say about Roger Miret and Vinnie Stigma : they are the originators not imitators of the genre. honest lyrics, honest music, honest HARDCORE..the way it was meant to be.

AF return again with a new member pokey form leeway fame(meruder, bothworlds)a worthy addition to the drum kit very skilled drummer and diffenitly adds a new demention & feel to the mix without taking anything away form the af sound. this cd sound pretty simular to the last two but just a little less intense but not worse in any way the bass come threw a bit better on this one but the lead guitar seams aime less at timesand miss places matt henderson or steve ?whoever liberty and justic cd never had this problem- sometimes you just don't need it stigma knows this!!all in all this cd is very solid not to be missed.

It amazes me how these guys have continued to make bad ass hardcore for so long. It put a BIG smile on my face when I first heard it. And then it made me wanna drink all night and punch a hole in the wall. I love this release and I love the title. My life , My way.
