A very European film about growing up
This is one of my all-time favourite films. It follows a young boy as he comes to grips with growing up and family troubles. It is both moving and funny.

Not what I expected
I brought this movie after doing a search on movies with Callum Keith Rennie in it...I watched it from start to finish trying to keep up with the subtitles and Callum wasn't in this version. Disappointed to say the least.

Brilliant...,

What a wonderfully moving movie...a movie with a little bit of everything- drama, comedy and even romance. I was not deterred at all from viewing the movie many times because of its subtitling, it kept it in its true essence. Wonderful cast, and the right amounts of everything. Beautiful cinematography, partially for me because I am not used to the snow. A wonderful storyline. I would recommend this movie to anyone who's willing to be touched and amused, mainly by the darling little lead star.

If you're looking for something to see out of the predominant Hollywood circle, this is it. It's a very charming and funny, somtimes sad movie. The acting is very real and innocent. Brilliant.
