I purchased this book in combination with the Burrowing Owl Puppet by Folkmanis so my four-year-old nephew could really learn about burrowing owls. This book is informative, interesting, and fun, giving realistic depictions of life for a family of burrowing owls. My nephew is very interested in learning the different types of owls and what they do day to day- We all learned from reading this great book!

Have a friend with a passion for these owls, she knows everything about them, so was concerned the book would be redundant. The book, a it turns out, has been the "best book ever"
Its cute, its fun and it perfectly captures the facial expressions the birds make in real life. More like a children's book than a research tome, but its illustrated well, and has a very short story. . Burrowing Owl Fans = its a must have. |
