About the Author
Hope Irvin Marston, a retired library media specialist, is the author of two adult books and twenty-five children’s books, including several books on wildlife. She lives in upstate New York with her husband Arthur, their exuberant boxer, and their laid-back golden retriever.
Maria Magdalena Brown, a nature lover, is an accomplished illustrator and designer. She has teamed up with Hope Irvin Marston on numerous projects to bring the books to life through her detailed and factual, yet entertaining illustrations.

Adorable Story for little ones,

My five year old identical twin grandsons cannot get enough of this adorable book. The minute I go to their house for a visit, I must read it to them. I think they believe they each represent the two little whitetails in the story.
The story shows the love the mother has for her young babies and the way the whitetails grow and change their looks and enjoy more freedom is so appeaing to young readers. They also love the warm and tender illustrations.
